It's is truly horrible. Poor children that are affected by that horrible abuse. But to tell you the truth it doesn't surprise me. Most abusers were abused as kids; and that definitely seems to be the case here. That doesn't excuse his crime or anyone else's but it is true. It just really sad and sickening.
Jeffrey was adopted, so no genetics involved there (at least, not from Jerry). Nature, OTOH, plays a huge role.
The statistics aren't clear, but it's estimated that 40-80% of juvenile sex offenders were themselves victims of childhood sexual abuse. It's always better for kids to receive treatment as children or teens, but even getting treatment as an adult helps to break that cycle, not to mention enables adult survivors to better cope with the things that happened to them and the resounding effects.
I'm not surprised in the least that one of Sandusky's kids was arrested for CSA. I am, however, surprised it took this long.
Castration should be considered an option for child abusers and rapists. Why is it not?

I feel sorry for him but that is no excuse for his actions (alleged at this point).
One of the sons came out and said Sandusky assaulted him, one of the adopted sons, but I remember his name was Matt. This sick F Sandusky would go so far as to adopt kids so that he could molest them.
Chemical castration is an option in some states although I prefer the old fashioned way myself.
Was this the same one that was going to testify FOR Jerry during his trial and switched at the last minute and then accused Jerry of abusing him as well?

Predators like Sandusky (the father) seek out ways to have access to victims. That is why so many abusers are teachers, coaches, clergy, scout leaders, etc.
Although it makes me sad, I am always suspicious of any adult (especially men) that wants to spend an inordinate amount of time with children.
1) it doesn't work;
2) it is irreversible. If the person is later proven to be innocent, ....;
3) We aren't monsters.

My wife's uncle is an attorney that works a lot of CPS type cases. Some of the cases he works make you ill.
Thing about these type of people is that they are not capable of "rehabilitation". They cannot be positive contributing members of society and will always seek to destroy. As such, they should be tortured and then killed and thrown in a dumpster.

Not sure I'd go so far as to say I feel sorry for him, but it is a sad situation all around. No telling how many people are being impacted by some sort of carry over effect.

Guarantee you he did. Not enough proof for a court, but good enough for a lynch mob. Hope the boys in prison hear about this and pay a visit to old Jer. He has cursed multiple generations of his victims.
Totally correct! Death too good for child molestors. Strip them naked, stake them to ground in 4 point restraints, and pour honey all over their bodies. Forbid anybody from helping them.
I find it fascinating how willing we are to lower ourselves to similar levels in situations like this.
