So much behavior is learned rather than genetic, though.I think he's adopted
It's is truly horrible. Poor children that are affected by that horrible abuse. But to tell you the truth it doesn't surprise me. Most abusers were abused as kids; and that definitely seems to be the case here. That doesn't excuse his crime or anyone else's but it is true. It just really sad and sickening.dude...
WTF...
Nature versus nurture is going through my head. Was Sandusky (the son) molested by his father? Or was he genetically pre-disposed to being this way? I understand some of both is just as likely.
When I was doing criminal defense work, I went through a training program (Child Protective Services helped run it) that dealt with the types of offenders. From what they told us, kids who receive treatment have a good chance of ending the cycle. Kids who do not receive treatment ...
....He was probably abused himself.Well he's adopted so...
Chemical castration is an option in some states although I prefer the old fashioned way myself.Castration should be considered an option for child abusers and rapists. Why is it not?
Probably so.Concur. Considering who his dad is, odds are he was a victim himself. Sad.
Castration should be considered an option for child abusers and rapists. Why is it not?
Believe that was MattWas this the same one that was going to testify FOR Jerry during his trial and switched at the last minute and then accused Jerry of abusing him as well?
I thought same thing very sad familyApple doesn't fall far from the tree. What a revolting family.
One of the sons came out and said Sandusky assaulted him, one of the adopted sons, but I remember his name was Matt. This sick F Sandusky would go so far as to adopt kids so that he could molest them.
Castration should be considered an option for child abusers and rapists. Why is it not?
1. I'm confused, how does it not work1) it doesn't work;
2) it is irreversible. If the person is later proven to be innocent, ....;
3) We aren't monsters.
Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. What a revolting family.
at least he comes by it honestly...STORY:
Bellefonte, Centre County, Pa - Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jeffrey Sandusky, 41 and charged him with sexually assaulting a child. Sandusky is the son of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach who was convicted on multiple counts of child sex abuse.
Sandusky was arraigned on charges Monday afternoon in Bellefonte. His mother, Dottie Sandusky, was also at the District Magistrate's office.
Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation in November 2016 after a child claims to have received text messages from Sandusky, including some that asked for naked photographs.
According to State Police, Sandusky was dating the child's mother and had lived in the residence for about five years.
The explicit text messages where shared with the child's father, who then notified police. According to the criminal complaint a second child was also abused dating back to 2013. After learning on the alleged abuse, Sandusky was asked to leave the home.
Monday afternoon bail was set at $200,000.
Sandusky is prohibited from any contact with minors.
Not sure I'd go so far as to say I feel sorry for him, but it is a sad situation all around. No telling how many people are being impacted by some sort of carry over effect.It's a cycle of abuse. I feel sorry for this man, who was likely abused by his father like so many other children.
Agreed.So much behavior is learned rather than genetic, though.
The Sandusky's adopted 6 kids including Jeffrey. At least one of the adopted kids said Jerry molested him but Jeffrey. Jeffrey maintained that Jerry never molested him but who knows what the real story is
Guarantee you he did. Not enough proof for a court, but good enough for a lynch mob. Hope the boys in prison hear about this and pay a visit to old Jer. He has cursed multiple generations of his victims.
Totally correct! Death too good for child molestors. Strip them naked, stake them to ground in 4 point restraints, and pour honey all over their bodies. Forbid anybody from helping them.That is such a sad reality of sexual assault. That particular criminal act carries way more weight IMO because of what a vicious cycle it is. One assault can affect generations of people. Sad and why I think punishment for these crimes should be higher than any we have. Murder doesn't even cause as much long term damage to groups of people IMO.
Thee and me.Chemical castration is an option in some states although I prefer the old fashioned way myself.
They just shouldn't be released from prison.1. I'm confused, how does it not work
2. No punishment is, time, death, castration, once taken away you can't get it back
3. Yes we are
Castration's a little light, IMO.[/

Probably adequate if we used a small guillotine on his "friend" and then dropped him into shark infested waters off the coast of Florida.
For multiple reasons.
My wife's uncle is an attorney that works a lot of CPS type cases. Some of the cases he works make you ill.
Thing about these type of people is that they are not capable of "rehabilitation". They cannot be positive contributing members of society and will always seek to destroy. As such, they should be tortured and then killed and thrown in a dumpster.
