I'd agree with you if it were grass. A wet field levels the teams out more. However Notr dame went to turf for that reason. They were slipping around too much on the grass when it was wet, not to mention that it looked like crap. With the shoes the players use these days, I wouldn't expect to much of a drop off for anyone. I'd expect more running the bsll than normsl, but that's about it.
