in the 1960s the UT women’s track team made it a point to run like the wind and to look good while doing it - which should have garnered them at least a few extra points.

Can you imagine running with that much hair spray on your head? Or with a full on beehive hairdo? It may sound ridiculous but it was just something that came with being a female sports star in the ‘60s.

Girl I went to high school with won state in track and ended up at Baylor on a track scholarship. Her name was Natlie Nelepa. She was an absolute Barbie Doll, and when she was on the track she looked like she just came from a model shoot. Always wore makeup and had perfect hair, Last I heard, she is a nurse. Still a babe.
