FAU seven-footer Matas Vokietaitis has committed to the University of Texas. Vokietaitis won the AAC Freshman of the year award and averaged 10.2 PP, and 5.5 RPG in 18 minutes per game.

Matas Vokietaitis' commitment to Texas is a significant addition to the Longhorns’ roster, bringing a promising young seven-footer with a lot of upside. Vokietaitis had an impressive freshman season at FAU, earning AAC Freshman of the Year honors while averaging 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. His combination of size and skill makes him a potential game-changer in Sean Miller’s system, offering both rebounding presence and scoring ability.

With Vokietaitis joining Texas, the Longhorns are adding a player who has the potential to become a significant contributor both this upcoming season and in the years to come. His youth and versatility as a big man make him an ideal fit for Texas' future, as he will continue to develop under Miller's guidance. This commitment is a major step forward, not only for Texas in year one under Sean Miller but for the program as a whole, as it strengthens both the present and future.
