Ketch is still on the IR, but we recorded another podcast this week.
Here are the highlights:
- Alex has no issues with the pickup of Michigan grad transfer receiver Tarik Black. However, Alex believes Black has a better chance of winning a starting spot going against Marcus Washington as opposed to Brennan Eagles.
- The staff does not expect Black to set the world on fire at Texas. Instead, we expect him to be a solid contributor.
- Jason talked about tight end Landen King's pass-catching ability.
- Alex explained how each Longhorn fits into their new team (including undrafted free agents).
- Jason believes Texas' pitch to recruits after the draft is "this is why we need you." He also explained about knocking the Longhorns draft could backfire with rivals coaches.
- During the draft discussion, Alex said Texas needs to get out of the Big 12 and into a better league. He does not believe Texas needs to revenue share with programs that are not on its level.
- Dustin broke down the recruitment of Greg Brown III. He also explained why Shaka Smart has been so successful convincing elite prospects to attend Texas.
