A 25 goal differential is a nice cushion but doesnt change the point. The ladies ran up the score to a historical proportion and making dumb exuses for it.

I think France had beaten the US 2 out of the previous 3 meetings they had. That first goal was bad though. Never should have gotten through.

Overall its like watching womens college basketball. Its just a slow game and theres not a lot of velocity on shots. As much of a soccer fan as I am, its tough really getting into the womens game.

That is the second time in this tournament they scored like that. My daughter calls it the zebra effect. All the US white jerseys run across the keepers' field of vision so they can't pick out the ball. It is a pretty smart tactic.

Yeah, the FIFA rankings don't directly determine the bracket. Just how NCAA rankings don't completely determine the March Madness Bracket.

It would be nice to be on the other side of the bracket right now. That said Sweden had to knock of Germany who is #4 in the world. Sweden and Netherlands are both solid squads, top 10 even, but they have outplayed their ranking so far. If we can get past England we will be a solid favorite in the final.
