What is Wrong With the Democrat Party......

I don't know what the left has to be do with this. The fault is with the parents for taking their children too witness this.
Conservative parents don’t expose their 3-5 year old child to that filth and environment. I would gladly eat crow if the event were organized by an organization such as The Heritage Foundation, Family Research Institute, or Claremont Institute. But, the event looks like it’s in an urban area, which tells you what? Leftist organizers and leftist parents of the young kid. But, then, free love, gender fluidity, Orangeman bad, etc. so it must be ok. Right?

Yes I hate Donald Trump. But I also hate Betsy Devoss, General Flynn, Stephen Miller, and I really hate Steve Bannon.

Steve Bannon looks equal parts rehab failure, over the hill open star, and dresses like he's still 21 years old.

Mostly I hate the Aggie Rick Perry. A cheerleader who barely graduated with a degree in poultry science. A rat who crawled out of a Texas sewer.

Most of you guys seem to be in the oil and gas business and I guess Donald Trump did something good for you. Ok fine.

But for a lot of us here let people like Mitch McConnell and the judicial crisis network run wild with packing the courts with right wing judges who are nothing but partisan hacks.
What about Maxine Waters? How do you feel about her?

So basically, you hate flourishing economies and societies? Love ya man but your willingness to turn a blind eye to results and to not be objective is a little odd to me. Then again, we are all still here rooting for the Longhorns lol
Brother. 👍

What is your position on Joe Biden? How would you assess his career and the job that he's done so far as POTUS?
Well he passed the ERP which helped a lot of working class people.

There was the infrastructure bill.

People are going to have a fit but the withdrawal from Afghanistan was the right thing to do. But everyone regrets that it turned into chaos.

I've given my opinions many times about inflation. I agree with danhorn about price gouging in regards to the price of gas and I think corporate greed is also playing a part in this.

I was disappointed that he didn't ask for more stringent gun control. That bill recently passed was a joke.

All in all he hasn't been to bad. But he's not fighting mad about this ruthless right wing power grab.

Why are you so hell bent on me saying something bad about Biden I never said he was a saint. And I've never asked you to say something bad about Greg Abbott.

This board has had plenty of negative to say about Abbott.

And Lord have mercy Cali. Biden is a disaster.

Let's talk oil and gas-- I'm glad you brought that up.

Oil prices during Trump's presidency averages were-

2017-- $50
2018-- $65
2019-- $57
2020-- $40

Under Biden

2021-- $68
2022-- $101 with a HIGH of $123

Now-- if I own oil wells, I LOVE me some Biden. But most oil well owners voted Trump. Now WHYBon God's blue earth would they vote for a guy that kept oil prices so low?
Because cheap energy helps the ENTIRE nation-- as well as the world.

Biden doesn't care about cheap energy. His handlers want evil oil destroyed and replaced with unicorn farts and fairy dust.

I've always had the impression you're in the oil and gas business. Is that true? Not making any between the lines statement just wondering.

I do have holdings in oil and gas. But I am also involved in the finance world. Are royalty owners happy about the fat checks they are getting now?
Yes.
We're the checks fatter under Donald?
No.

Yet oil and gas people are still voting for Don--- against their wallets....

Now, why is that?

Chill. Cali is a great poster and Horn fan. He, like most of our voting block here in the States, is partisan and a victim of cognitive dissonance.

But we all choose to ignore some things and over blow others don’t we?
👍 Indeed. I am that claw in the hammer sometimes.

I'm not going to go in order, but I want to address a couple of items:

You claim that inflation is the result of price gouging and corporate greed, and I assume that you must think they are colluding as well. However, Big Oil owns about 5% of all gas stations in the US.

https://www.api.org/oil-and-natural-gas/consumer-information/consumer-resources/service-station-faqs

So something like 130k people would have to be colluding.

You could be talking about a the price of oil. I will agree that the price of a barrel is impacted by collusion, but not by US oil companies. You may have heard about a group called OPEC. They are the largest influencer over the price of oil and they are getting filthy stinking rich.

I'm not sure anyone would disagree about withdrawing from Afghanistan. I'll bet President Trump would not have left a shit load of military assets and people stranded there.

More people in the US have died from Covid since Biden took office, than before. I thought he said he was going to fix it.

What you said is correct, but I beg to differ that well owners (I am only thinking of myself here) love Biden. The fact is, I dont get it. I have fractional interest in oil producing areas of southern Louisiana.(lots of zeros to the right of the decimal). When W first got in, we were getting nearly $2000.00 a month. The figure slowly fell, but was still worth going to the mail box. There were about 6 different oil companies involved with many wells each.

As time went on the checks went from monthly, to several a year , to one a year and then in several cases, none at all. When the price of oil dropped, many wells were shut down, or taken off line for rework. Now the price of oil is sky high and I thought....let the good times roll!.....no....none of the wells taken off line has ever been restarted.
I find this puzzling. I am sure that you and/or Bell could explain it. For myself I could care less, but I have wanted to gift my interests to my kids, but right now....what is the point.

I'll be honest, I have no answer for current or future production. In my neck of the woods we should be running 12 rigs at these prices but we're running less than a 1/4 of that without plans to add additional rigs. I would assume the wells you were receiving royalty payments on would presumably need to be reworked to be brought back on line and who knows if that will happen.

Why deplete reserves if they are only going to be stolen and redistributed?

Those wells would have to be treated and then restarted.

Check it out--

Oil is gunky and has particulates in it. It doesn't normally look like motor oil when it comes out of the ground. Now, oil up on the North Slope in Alaska is BEAUTIFUL. My dad drilled up there in 69-70 and came home with a glass bottle full of it and the stuff is green like Absynthe.
But Louisiana oil usually has crap in it like...... paraffin...... otherwise known as "wax".

This wax cools down at the well bore when the oil is shut in and it hardens.
So-- special chemicals are needed to treat the gunk and made it flow able again.

Problem is, chemical treatments can be expensive, and if your well is a stripper well (code for old, low production) it may not be cost beneficial to spend all that money. That's why we designed our lift system-- to produce stripper wells more efficiently and at a lower cost.
Get ahold of you operator and see if he has any interest in starting those wells up again. I can work a free trial out for you guys.

To your last question no. What you have just said is that you like him so you forgive his lack of critical thinking/cognative dissonance.

He's another highly emotional/hyper partisan poster, GOP is evil. . . when the party of the Jackass screws up, make excuses.

With a dose of Capitalism is evil. Which is funny since he praised the infrastructure bill (a bad bill which helped fuel inflation), laddered with pork. So political greed good, corporate greed bad????

The idea that Biden in 18 months isn't the worst POTUS in the last 100 years is laughable. "he hasn't been bad"? What world is cali living in????

That is the definition of cognitive dissonance 100%

And all of us suffer from it consistently.

Nancy Pelosi is very smart and very cunning. January 6th was the perfect set up. Nancy knew the breach was coming. She knew guys like Ray Epps would convince a hand full of crazies into break into the Capitol. Now she has the next more perfect, Russia, Russia, Russia investigation. Because she and the Democrats, along with the press referred to this as an insurrection, she now can expand her investigation and subpoena anyone and everyone associated with Trump even if they weren't there, or involved, from Steve Bannon, to General Flynn, to Mark Meadows, to Trump's personal lawyer. Nancy can control the investigation, the subpoenas, and who can be a part of the investigation, while only Republicans with TDS are allowed to participate. Even the unassociated Republican recipients of the subpoenas must testify and give up their emails, texts, and phone records and this can serve and an excellent fishing expedition looking for any dirt of any kind, whether related to Jan 6th, or not related to Jan 6th. The televised investigation is also an excellent distraction from gas prices, inflation, Ukraine, the border, and crime. Nancy is much smarter than we give her credit for, and she may have Trump by the balls, and seems to be squeezing them hard.

Holy shit are you serious Clark? I mean what else could he do after inexplicably shutting the country down over a bullshit hoax. Who you think is paying for ERP? And why not pass that when you are in a death spiral towards a recession and probably a depression, what could go wrong? Just another of Biden's planned disastrous decisions.

Afghanistan withdrawal- a U.S. embarrassment of epic proportions on the national stage. A Biden staple.

All in all Biden has been a total disaster, even your own CNN brethren are calling him the worst of all time, but in your mind, not too bad?

We'd all like you to condemn him for him being a disaster of a President and an abject failure. How about that greasy ass son of his? How about the creepy ass comments from his daughter about taking showers with her when she was younger that has caused her issues in life. Don't you agree it's time to investigate Biden and his family for corruption in their many pay to play schemes?

Anybody on here fully understand unemployment pay. I had an employee who resigned with 30 days notice due to her re-locating to another city. I received a letter from TWC that she was requesting unemployment. On the reason it stated “resigned and relocated”, which is the truth. So, why is unemployment even available for this. This agency is in need of serious reform. I think unemployment benefits is important for valid reasons like layoffs, wrongful termination…, especially for those people that have a mortgage, rent and utility obligationsand, raising a family type things. I am totally opposed for anybody receiving unemployment benefits if they quit voluntarily or if it is a person that lives at home and isn’t responsible for any bills other than their 2022 camaro payment and they can’t find a job in this worker shortage market.
