Tulsa isn't a bad team, but, accomplishing the following would give me satisfaction for the night and confidence going into next week.

1) Show dominance on the OL
2) >500 yards total offense
3) <350 yards allowed by defense
4) No turnovers
5) No celebration or happiness after the game for beating Tulsa.

Total domination and consistency on offense. Keep doing what works until they stop it. Quit monkeying around with the offense.

I was talking to a Big 10 guy at my preferred watering hole last night. The topic turned to college football and I mentioned that Tim Beck was our OC. He started laughing hysterically then went on a rant about how bad a coach he was. He predicted that UT would run him off in a year or two. I think he was a Nebraska guy but it might have been iowa.

So to answer the question . . . Tim Beck gets demoted to head trainer?

Texas got stuffed by Tulsa on 4th down & should have kicked a FG (did that happen twice?). Texas got stuffed by Tulsa on 3rd down & Tulsa blocked punt.

Tulsa missed 3 easy FGs.

If Tulsa has a FG kicker and receivers that could catch they beat us by double digits. I don’t know what exactly would of been a successful night, but that wasn’t it.

If Tulsa wins, maybe we are on the way to a better team. Next year.

And they don’t have either so they lost. We won. Move on to USC now.
