ha ha
when I was at Ut they posted grades with your SSN. Who knew i could copied all those numbers and placed havoc on people's lives for decades.

According to mom's twitter, it looks like Mookie Cooper has been kicked out of school.
Obviously we don't know what happened, but we may have dodged a bullet there. Hope he gets his life straight and makes a name for himself. Good luck to him.

Anyone got any links to the comments that Evans purportedly made? The time I've been around him and the comments from people who know him and those in the NS program are nothing but good. He's a not a bad kid at all, and has a tremendous work ethic.
Rumor is he is suspended for several games after getting into it with a NS coach. I have no first hand knowledge of this but that is the scuttlebutt going around the message boards.

Evans is suspended for the next two games. He went off on one of the coaches after the Katy game. I will be talking to my contact later today and will post more details.

After seeing Cortland Ford (4* OT from Cedar Hill who decommitted from LSU back in the summer) up close and personal, we do not want to take him. He can barely move.

Zachary Evans used to be a "yes sir, no sir" kid but has turned into a prima donna and is being influenced by his older step brothers, who played at C.E. King, to speak his mind. They are also telling him to not commit to a school early and to wait until the HS all star games in January. What happened with Evans started in the championship game last year. At the state CG, Evans was upset about not being in the spotlight after the hail mary TD pass that won the game. He pouted on the bench afterwards, while WR A.J. Carter and QB Dematrius Davis were getting the limelight.

Fast forward to the Katy game this year. Katy sold out to stop Evans and the running game and kept him in check, scoring only one TD, which frustrated him. Evans was well aware that the game was on national TV and wanted the spotlight. When North Shore had the lead in the second half, Evans was upset that NS didn't keep feeding him the ball. Offensive coordinator Willie Gaston was trying to establish the pass in order to try to get Katy to back off of the run and it ticked off Evans not feeding him the ball.

Evans was yelling at the OL and the coaches during the game. After the game, he went off on a tirade on Gaston about the play calling and his lack of carries. After NS head coach Jon Kay and Gaston talked things over, they decided to suspend Evans for three weeks (Ridgepoint, Westfield and the bye week. He will be available on 9/27 against LaPorte). Coach Kay said that Evans must make every practice or he'll suspend him for another game if he misses practice.

It sounds to me like it was handled right. Hope this kid wakes up to realized yelling at the OL will not help your case!

Sad, this kid is going to fade into irrelevance. Maybe he can live with his big brothers when he washes out of a fbs school.

Man he needs a wake up call. Big balls by coach Kay to sit his butt for 2 games. Figure it out now kid cuz its going to be harder every level up from here. Youre gonna be able to go to any school you want as long as you don't turn into an ass.

Update on the Zach Evans saga. At practice today, he got into it with some of his teammates and cussed a coach again. Coach Kay then added another game onto his suspension. Evans got pissed and quit the team.

Man, what a bad look for this kid. Sadly, he doesn't have a positive male role model in his life to give him advice and guide him. This will obviously get out and schools will be aware of this situation and his selfish attitude. Kudos to Coach Kay for putting his foot down and keeping discipline in the North Shore program, or this could fester with others if allowed to continue. What a sad end to Evans' HS football career.

That’s not gonna go over well for his recruiting purposes. So sad to see a kid with such a talent possibly piss it away because he thinks he has it all figured out. I don’t want this kid anywhere near our program after hearing this.

Evans is about to go from one of the all-time highly recruited RBs in Texas high school to a punchline and cautionary tale.

If a kid wants to piss his career away let it be, you can only guide a kid so far and someone will step up and try to help. He will look back at this day and remember what he did and will regret it. Live and learn son its part of life.

Seems like the hangers on/handlers and 'appearance' money have really messed his recruitment up.

Holy crap. WTF kid? The hell you doing to yourself? This is really disappointing to hear. Someone has clearly been in his ear giving him all kinds of bad advice.

He's definitely getting bad advice or not taking good advice. Either way, this kid appears toxic. I applaud North Shore for not allowing him to hold them hostage.

you all do realize that kenny vacarro was kicked off TWO high school teams. it might have been his brother, i don't remember 100%, but it happened to one of them, and we still took him. this won't effect his recruiting in a big way. he'll still have the same schools after him. that obese O-Lineman will still be hanging onto him (let's see if he quits too, btw), and somebody will take him. now, once he gets on campus there may be some empty talk about "we got our eyes on you; we know what you did". but it'll be just that-- empty. i'm sure the colleges that are in the running for him are a little glad he's not in danger of injury.
