Absolutely furious with Herman

I didn’t know he was mocking the cat at the time I thought he was giving himself a double titty twister.

I thought he was doing the TRex.

Our team needed a huge infusion of confidence and attitude. I love that he called that reverse for Foreman instead of taking a knee. I love that Wheeler tried to take the receiver's head off at the end of the game. I loved the late hit on the qb on the last drive. All of that tells the team that this is the attitude and effort we need to take into the offseason. I'm sure a lot of recruits liked the way we finished.
Damn right! All the "tea sipping" crowd can hug a nut with your pinky finger properly stuck out. You want players with attitude and a kill'em mentality, you're gonna need an asshole coach too. Herman is an "us against them" kind of guy, not "my kids vs your kids."

Personally I have no problem with what Herman did, just as I have no problem with Mayfield’s antics. The team feeds off it. Would I behave like Herman or Mayfield if I were in that situation? Uh, no.
I knew you'd be on here trying to conflate these 2 people. Herman didn't grab his nuts and yell "**** You!" to their entire bench nor did he plant a flag on an opponent's field. He was having fun dancing with his players on his sideline.

That said, I half agree with you. Our team needs more of a chip on our shoulder and this pumps them up. And I'm laughing at the internet meltdown today (front page story on ESPN). Especially since anyone can give us the middle finger with impunity with the Horns down sign with zero people batting an eyelid. A wee bit of a double standard when it comes to Texas.

I think, and may be I'm wrong, that the mizzu qb was "putting on his jacket" like a pimp would after exiting his merlot Cadillac brougham on his way into the night club.

Couple things:
1. You ain't a pimp. You never will be a pimp. Don't act like a pimp.
2. You ain't black. Stop trying to act like you are, and especially a "black pimp".

It wasn't cool. It was just as freaking stupid as Johnny Manziel and his dumb a$$ money fingers.

When in doubt, just don't.

Nah he did the "secure your bag" as in he's got the W in the bag. More like he got a big L in the bag.

Never understood the offense taken by "horns down". Understand even less those who tend to elevate it to the status of actual offensive gestures and phrases. To the point of ESPN offering apologies for it.

This is what happened at the luncheon. A big part of why Texas was so mad at these guys.

oldschool, give me a break. It's a middle finger to UT fans, players and coaches. Really not that difficult to understand.

Or is saying "A&M sucks" just good clean fun to you. Why are you getting offended? Some people.

Both are simple taunting and I don't have a problem with either. I don't like a Texas player being flagged for doing something like the guns up taunting Tech and in the same game Tech throwing the horns down and not being flagged. I don't care about the gestures I just don't like being on the losing end of a 15 yard penalty.

It's all fun until you get your asses handed to you. I'm sure Tom fed the team in the locker room the memory and I'm glad he did. I'd bet a million to one that if they were playing Alabama they would've showed more respect. It's about damn time we start being cocky again.

I don't like the double standard. UT fans and players are supposed to take taunting and shit talking and the second we give it back the internet melts down and loses its collective mind. It's hilarious and ridiculous at the same time.

Mizzou players were talking trash all week. Then they cry like bitch babies when they get it back (along with the usual cast of Longhorn haters).

I love it, have some fun enjoy the game, get the wedgy out of your underwear...If MU players had shown any class at any point before, during or after the game, I may have rather he not do it...but do some research on what MU did.

Also, it would be my wild guess that the OP already had a problem with TH before this mocking incident.

Nobody has any problem with the horn players trash talking. Or at least I don't.

But don't use "they did the horns down" as an excuse. That's just whiny....and ensures you'll see a lot more of it.

I don't see their shit talking on the front page of ESPN. My point is there's a double standard when it comes to UT and this stuff.

And we'll see the d-bag Longhorn haters regardless. Might as well embrace it and wear the black hat like the Yankees or Patriots. F'em all.

What do you mean UT fans and players are supposed to take it? When did the fans and players come into discussion? UT fans are supposed to do something right back, and the players are supposed to kick ass on the field. The internet doesn't meltdown when Texas fans and players talk trash. I don't have a problem with what Herman did, but there is certainly a distinction in that a lot of coaches don't do that. Not saying all don't, but plenty don't.

Isn't UT a different standard than Bielema.

Don't remember seeing Stoops, Beliema or Nutt on the front page of ESPN doing the horns down.

I put it at the same level as spelling Aggie, aggy on purpose. It is juvenile, but completely harmless. Try to have fun with it. Nobody makes fun of nobodies.

Since you equate horns down as a middle finger, couldn't he just equate aggy to a middle finger?

Mizz was taunting our players all week and especially in the game. I'm sure it was a running joke in our locker room how they were going to do the securing the bag thing if we win to rub it in, especially after their QB did it staring at our sideline. Herman was celebrating with his team and got caught up in the moment. Big deal.

So this is all in good fun? You laugh when someone does this to you?

I think you take it too seriously. The horns down doesn't bother me just like taunting the other team shouldn't bother them.
