This really isnt that big a deal... I mean should the head coach be doing that stuff? Probably not, but in the grand scheme of things big deal. Now if next year we’re 6-6 and doing all that stuff then we’re gpnna look pretty dumb, but if what he did last night made the players buy in to Herman and leads to progress in the program great.

Eh if people forget about rapes/dwi/potsmoking no one will remember a coach having a good time with his players.
No one will remember it, but things tend to get “found” when coaches start to do poorly. Like the coin toss foul up under Strong. If he had won here it never would of come up again, or if it did it would of been “hey remember when that kid messed up the coin toss”. Things started to go south and all the sudden that was somehow a hindsight sign Strong was trash.
Things have a way of coming back to bite you if folks are out tongrt your job.
Difference is Herman got himself and his team a winning season whether fans want to count it or not. Strong almost accomplished it but failed numerous (3) times and once to Kansas.

Look I’m not making a big deal about it. Like I said if that motivates them or if that sold them on Herman and it leads to bigger and better things. That’s awesome. If not things like that tend to bite you.
Same is true of other coaches. Nick Saban the way he yells at and lectures the media or yells at his coaches on the sideline. Only reason he gets away with that is because he wins no way a struggling coach gets away with all that.
Jim Harbaugh when he first got to Michigan he got a lot of love for the recruiting antics and ric flair showing up at their watch parties and all that.
3 years later he’s 0-3 against Ohio State. 1-2 against Michigan st and some Michigan fans I know are like hey that stuffs all fine gets us recruits and all that but need to start seeing some resuts.
That’s all I’m saying stuff like that can come back to haunt you a bit if it doesn’t work the way you intend.
Not sure what will come back and bite Herman. He did the misery celebration once he had the W! They showed this to the whole team during the luncheon along with the “horns down” . When I think of something coming back to bite you it’s not something like this possibly something like a divorce case. He’ll be fine and so will all the fans that seem to be upset and calling it classless. He didn’t kick any puppies or bash any seals.
