Every week during the season, the Orangebloods staff will release an updated SEC Power Rankings that reveals the state of the conference in our eyes. All teams are ranked 1-16, with the first-place team receiving 16 points and the last place team receiving 1 point.
Let's take a look at how things look going into week 10.
1. Georgia (6) 96 points (Last week: 1st)
Highest ranking: 1st (Unanimous) Lowest ranking: 1st (Unanimous)
Are we going to see the great version of the Dawgs this weekend or the version we've seen for most of the season?
2. Texas - 90 points (Last week: 2nd)
Highest ranking: 2nd (Unanimous) Lowest ranking: 2nd (Unanimous)
Come on, Quinn. Put the pedal to the metal.
3. Tennessee - 84 points (Last week: 4th)
Highest ranking: 3rd (Unanimous) Lowest ranking: 3rd (Unanimous)
It kind of feels like the Vols are flying under the radar.
4. Alabama - 69 points (Last week: 5th)
Highest ranking: 4th (Geoff/Alex) Lowest ranking: 8th (Anwar)
I'm not sure I would stand on a table for any of the teams below the top three, but Alabama has to be higher than 8th, right? The playoff committee has them ranked 11th in the country. Who knows... Anwar might be right.
5. Ole Miss - 68 points (Last week: 8th)
Highest ranking: 4th (Jason) Lowest ranking: 7th (Cody/Travis)
The Rebels are playing for its season this weekend.
6. LSU 64 points (Last week 6th)
Highest ranking: 4th (TravisAnwar) Lowest ranking: 9th (Cody)
Like the Rebels, the Tigers are playing for its season this weekend.
7. Vanderbilt - 63 points (Last week: 7th)
Highest ranking: 4th (Cody) Lowest ranking: 10th (Geoff)
This is a 6 or 7 win team. I know they beat Alabama, but I'm just not feeling them.
8. Texas A&M - 59 points (Last week: 3rd)
Highest ranking: 6th (Cody/Anwar) Lowest ranking: 9th (Jason)
Just as a reminder, Jason had the Aggies at No.2 last week. 😂 😂 😂
9. South Carolina 53 points (Last week: 9th)
Highest ranking: 6th (Geoff) Lowest ranking: 10th (Alex)
Of its 3 losses, one is a 2-point loss in Tuscaloosa and another is a 3-point loss to LSU. I think they win out and finish the season 9-3.
10. Missouri 39 points (Last week: 12th)
