Fall camp

Your dad put you up to this?
Well at least he named a couple of actual FB players something you rarely do. I'll bet if a TX fan came up to you and asked you to man name 3 players not named Spencer Rattler you couldn't do it.

Now everyone knows about AL and their great ol and yes we've hired the ol coach. But OK doesn't have to take a back seat to anyone with the # of ol they send to the NFL. Do you know the name of their ol coach. You couldn't do it without going to an ok site.

Man, Woody, I thought we were cool with the coastal fishing in common. Guess not.
We are brother. Sometimes after reading a post, I inject the first thing that pops into my mind. A fault of mine I'll admit. I'll be haulin ass down to Rockport every weekend starting next week till the thanksgivin weekend. Best fishin of the year imo weather permitting of course hurricane season. The recent rains down there have pissed on my fishin this whole summer. I apologize for my ridiculous post brother. Happy fishin my man.

Ain't fallin for jedi mind trick obi-wan. 😀

Since 2005? I know we’ve been down, but not that long. Our ‘08 and ‘09 teams were the best in the nation.
Wasn't '08 a problem with Tech? And '09 with Alabama? UT better than OU in '09 but not by much given the usual rivalry. Which was my only point. Many more close games over the last 60 years that one would expect looking at end of the year records.

In ‘08 Tech did all Tech ever does, pulled a miracle upset out their ass over a team that would’ve destroyed Tebow and Florida, unlike OU who couldn’t handle them.

and ‘09? C’mon man. Everybody knows Bama gets blown out if not for a freak injury to McCoy. Injuries happen and they won the game yeah, but that doesn’t change who the best team was. And yes, our ‘08 team was even better.

Tech in 08 was a lot of fun to watch all season. The entire Big 12 was on fire as I recall. Kansas, WV and Baylor started playing well. Not a fun year for the Aggies though. Or maybe I'm off by a year.

No you didn't miss a year you're right on the 💰

Will see in about 7 weeks. Confident about the RRS. But felt the same way for every year since 2005 which most of us knew would be a disaster. And OU didn't win them all. So figure another 6-8 point game like it has been for most years since 1958.
I wouldn't call 2005 a disaster for OK. They went 8/4 with a controversial loss to TT and they won the Holiday Bowl against OR.

MM, what's cocky about talking about RRS results? OU wins most of them although Sooner fans think OU should have won all of them giving the coaching and talent comparisons, at least since 2005. But Sooners don't win them all since UT usually plays better than we thought they would. Sorry I tried to give your guys a compliment. Will shut up until Oct. 9.
This rivalry used to run in 4/5 year cycles but not anymore. Since the TX decline started in 2010 OK has dominated TX.

Okie it has nothing to do with rivalry over last 10 years. Cali looks at things differently than most of us. I think in reality what Cali wants to say is it’s because you are on a UT board being a passive aggressive douchebag. Take the train.

Huh? Am I being complimented or insulted?

When it comes to me I'm not so sure anymore.

Don't take it personally Cali. I don't and remember MM's admonition to watch myself on this board. BTW, did you vote in the recall in California? Can I ask where the two holes for the "blind" were on your ballot envelope? Just curious.

Word on the street is that it's going to be Card.

#BREAKING: Source inside the University of Texas football program has informed me that Hudson Card will be the starting QB. Hudson’s play and awareness was the deciding factor for Sark and staff when it came to the decision, Mason Illings told the

Dude--- set the victim badge down.;)

He had your back on that.
Cool I'm glad he did

A misunderstanding on the 1st. I was trying to be funny. It's not easy to pick up when someone is trying to funny on a message board. Case in point when Metcalf talked about Blake Gideon and the dropped interception at TT. I was talking about therapy and I was trying to be funny but I guess no one thought it was funny. And I said that if Kyle Flood can make a decent player out of Kerstetter than he's the Anne Sullivan of ol coaches and guys got mad. I'm trying to put a little bit of humor into this season. And as always

I don’t wanna start a whole new thread for this, so I’ll just leave it here.

These NIL interviews are f*cking embarrassing. Not everybody is cut out for the camera.

So be on the look out for Casey to transfer now?

He may end up transferring, but before he might potentially make a knee-jerk reaction and enter the portal, he should consider that he's got a lot invested at Texas. He's one play away from being the starter. I would imagine that Card is going to struggle some and Sark could decide to put Thompson in for a change of pace, so you never know. At this point in the season there is really nothing to be gained by entering the portal right now. He wouldn't be able to play for any other team until next year. I think they're both going to get a lot of playing time this season. Both need to be patient.

Or maybe Flood’s just not blind stupid enough to put a long limbed guy with a high center of gravity in the interior. Kersetter had one of the nation’s highest pass protection ratings when he was at RT.

But I remember against TCU when he went up against somebody with a Clay Matthews wanna be haircut. Anyway that guy sacked Shane Buechele a couple of times and knocked down a few more times. And Kerstetter is standing there like a beached whale. At the end of the game Shane was wobbling they almost broke him. If he has a better PPR at rt please educate me.

So, you’re going back to his true freshman season and blaming the player instead of questioning the program needing to play a true freshman at tackle?

BTW - the TCU DE was then 4th year JR LJ Collier and he was drafted in the first round the next year.

Kerstetter has been in the starting line up for like 4 seasons now with 3 different OL coaches. I'm leaning towards him being one of our best 5. Either that or we have had 3 OL coaches who watch every rep and disect game tape be wrong.

Ok le me say something about Derek Kerstetter that most people don't know. After the KSU injury they said that he had been playing the whole season with a fractured ankle and then in the KSU game it fractured completely. Which explains a lot. But it wasn't that game a few years ago. It was the last 2 seasons. So help me out what should I look for in regards to our ol?

You should look to see if they can keep the other team from tackling our team.
