Game of Thrones has returned for the final season

I gave fair warning

1. That was some legendary TV. I mean it, I actually felt cheated that I didn't get the opportunity to see that in an IMAX. Yea, I saved money, but I would easily have watched it in an IMAX and been really really happy.

2. Best death goes to the Mormont girl running head long into a giant and getting crushed but taking him out with a jab to the eye. Sorry to see one of my favorite characters die.

3. The show was always building for a confrontation between John and the Night King, it was a twist we didn't see it, but the surprise twist in that it tied a few things together.

4. I could have watched Aria fighting for the entire hour and thirty minutes. She is like a pocket size Aragorn.

5. I had hoped the end of the Night King would come in some other way, as in a later episode, doesn't seem right he dies with 3 episodes left to play out.

6. I didn't keep track, who died? Of course Theon and Jerrod Mormont, who else did we lose?

7. In every battle where cavalry was used it was a decisive victory. So watching the the Dothraki make that charge with their flaming swords, I'm thinking who is going to be left, then all the fires die out and I'm thinking, Oh Snap, someone's going to get it.

8. Now that the battle is over, what is Deny going to fight Cercy with a dragon and spit wads, She has pretty much lost her army.

I need to watch episode one more time. Might be the single best anything HBO has produced.

Dude there are actually GOT watch parties. Did you know that was a thing?
One of my neighbors has been putting up a projector screen across his front porch and 12-15 of us have been getting together to watch it. Pretty fantastic way to watch - though some passerbys had to shield their eyes to avoid spoilers.

I warned you about the head fake about ten posts up. Someone was saying that Bran stark was the key to the battle. Well he was but he wasn't. And BTW--- what does snow zombie king want with him anyway?

It appears that flaming sword dude is dead. Dragon Queen's old sidekick has been poked full of holes so he might die. Brianna and incest brother dude didn't seem to be fairing well. The red headed wildling dude was no where to be seen at the end. Fat Sam seems to survive. But his nightwatch buddy got splayed. Theon no d!ck got killed by the snow zombie king. Never saw what happened to the hound but I'm sure he lived because they want to have an epic battle scene between him and the mountain.

The Grey bearded white guy that learned to read from the gray skinned girl might have lived. The red witch with the fire starting power is MIA. And I think the general of the unsullied and his girlfriend are MIA as well.

I will say that I didn't enjoy how dark the whole thing was. I guess I'm a freak about going into a fight and being able to see my enemy. I have a 60 inch suck my dick state of the art 4k Samsung HD balls out can almost make an omelet for me, TV and the amount of squinting I did with 20/20 vision was astounding. I kept having to rewind during all the chaos because so much was happening. @outhereincali has been quiet tonight. Is it because he doesn't get GOT until two hours later than us?

Jorah (Dragon Queen's sidekick) is dead for sure. Dany was crying over his body.

I'd be shocked if any major players died and it wasn't blatantly obvious (Brienne, Jamie Lannister, Sam, Hound, etc).

The Red Woman (AKA witch) died at the end. Without the necklace that makes her young and hot in that kinda crazy way, her true self is revealed and she is an old shriveled up lady. She dumped the necklace and walked our into the snow covered field to die.

First in answer to what you wrote above yes I was quiet because it didn't start till 9 pm our time. It just now ended so I imagine you're in bed asleep lol.

As far as the characters I've grown to love most of them made it. Someone wrote a few days ago that Brienne of Tarth wouldn't make it. Wrong. Jamie Lannister, Ser Davos, Sansa, Tyrion, Lord Varys, Sandor Cleghane, Greyworm and his woman Missandei managed to live through it. As to who I'm not sure of that would Hannah and little Sam. Unfortunately Samwell Tarly made it he still won't fight. As to who didn't make it Jorah, that guy from the Nightwatch, the guy with the eyepatch, and the little Mormont girl. But they all died heroically. And Theon Grayjoy went from a tortured, and broken man to a gallant hero. Oh and I almost forgot crazy ass Tormund lived.

Ok on with the show. I was wondering about the crazy red woman Melisandre. She hasn't died and I was wondering when she was going to show up. And when she showed up the beginning of the show I was stunned I did not see that coming. She went out a hero too. The suspense the first 20 minutes there was little talking. You've already been told about the show. But little Arya Stark was the hero. She killed the night king and when she did the rest of them died. So the good guys, what's left of them, emerged victorius.

So now it's on to Cersei. She hasn't been on the last two weeks. I don't think she has a chance. The good guys have defeated the army of the dead Cersei, and her boy toy, Euron don't have a chance.

Only 3 more epiaodes left clob94

I've watched every episode and still get lost on who's who. Someone asked this earlier --- what is going on with the tree, Bran, why can he see the future and why was the night king after him?

For one shining moment, somehow, the show lived up to the impossible expectations set up by the fans and the media.

Good work by everyone involved with the show. Top to bottom.

I had to go back and rematch the end because after the stark girl stabbed the snow zombie I was like "well this one's over" and hopped in the shower. I didn't see the end when the red witch took off her necklace etc. But damn the cinematography made it hard to see what all was happening. The midget cracks me up though.

Watching the show felt chaotic and disorienting. I think that was purposeful, it made you feel as if you were in the middle of the battle yourself, not sure who was who and what was going on.

I am not exactly sure about Bran, certainly not a GOT expert, but for some reason after his fall he developed some extra mental powers and after the previous "3 eyed raven" was killed (remember the famous Hodor, hold the door, scene) Bran became the new "3 eyed raven". He basically knows everything that has ever happened anywhere, that's how he knew that John Snow was a Targaryen. Those special trees have a strong connection to the Old Gods and also to the 3 eyed raven.

They mentioned last week that if the night king could kill the 3 eyed raven, he could destroy humanity since the 3 eyed raven holds all the memories of humankind so if he is still alive so is humankind.

This is how it was explained to me by my super geeky friends who have studied the books. (Hope I get it right)

Bran is like a conduit between the old gods and humanity, he is sort of keeper of the records of everything. The trees are like his magical antenna/battery back. They both power his ability and give him clarity.

the Night King being made a corruption form of the 3 eyed raven needs to kill Bran to sever the link with the gods and then he could finish his work. The link with the Gods was actually what allowed the victory over the Night King. Arya gets her training from the many face god, the god of light brings Howland Reed back 189 times just so he can save Arya. As long as there is a 3 eyed raven the connection is there. Remember, the aim of the Night King was the plunge the world into darkness, it only happens with killing Bran.

SPOILER - Uncle Benny becomes the new Night King and starts the process all over again. 1000 years of gathering his forces again.

The night Walkers will be back?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/oh-great-chance-white-walkers-185831214.html

In the episode titled “Oathkeeper,” we see the Night King handed the infant child of a late wildling. Alive. The Night King touches the child, and we see the child’s eyes turn blue. A living thing transformed into something else by the Night King’s touch, in other words, may not be the same thing as the Night King reanimating dead corpses.

So there you have it. Again, all of the above is educated guesswork and speculation, but it certainly seems like the showrunners could have easily confirmed that, yes, what Arya did indeed wiped out the White Walkers — if, in fact, that’s what happened. Hopefully, the depleted, tired survivors of the Battle of Winterfell won’t have to take on Cersei in addition to dealing with more undead as we move into the season’s final three episodes, but we’ll see.

Just one thing. I saw where a lot of podcasts that predicted Brienne of Tarth would die last week. Wrong.

I have a an about somebody killing another but I'm going to keep it to myself. We'll find out soon enough anyway.

I come in here every year for the past five years and throw my nuts on the proverbial choppin block and tell all you boys how I think the Horns will do each season---- come hell or high water. So--- call your shot.

That Samwell Tarly will kill Daenerys Targaryan. In the first episode, within the first few minutes, Daenerys told Samwell she killed his father and brother because they wouldn't kneel to her. Just saying.

Ok. I can see that. But Sam doesn't strike me at the type. He's kind of a puss.

My only prediction is that one of her brothers kills Cersei. Either the sister Fvcker or the midget.

Agree with you on that Clob. I think it ends up being Jaime. He was the king slayer that threw the whole system into shambles and he may end up being the queen slayer that helps correct things at the end.

Whatever makes the most sense usually doesn’t happen. All bets are off on this show.

Did HBO buy carbon offset credits for burning all those fires?

HBO hates the environment.

There's no doubt he's a coward. But he has killed, he did it in season 2. But to my way of thinking they didn't just show that scene for no reason. I don't know maybe Dany will kill him.

Well I was wrong Samwell Tarly will not kill Daenerys. Man I did not see this one coming. At all. It looked like it was inevitable that Dany would defeat Cersei now it appears that Cersei is holding all the cards. She and Euron have killed one dragon. And they pretty much destroyed the army of the unsullied. Then she ignored Tyrion's pleas I know big surprise. It was inevitable that Jaime and Brienne would consummate their relationship. But he's heard the news so he's going back to try and stop his sister and I think Brienne will join him. I'm starting to see the deaths of characters I've come to love tonight it was Missandei. All the attractive women that have been on GoT I always thought Missandei was the prettiest.

What can I say about the last 2 episodes? I think Sandor and Gregor will finally have their fight. I think that Arya and Jaime will go back and try to kill Cersei. Will Lord Varys kill or get someone to kill Dany? And there's a lot of questions that will answered in the final 2 episodes.

Dude-- so what did the chick say just before she got her head sliced off? She yelled out something and that one unsullied dude looked like he recognized it----- then she got head whomped.

BTW---- chicks and dudes should never fight a battle and then drink together.

GOT has taken a queue from Walking Dead. Any time someone has happy thoughts or talks about the future, they die. I figured Missandei and Gray worm would bite it in the last episode. Now things are looking pretty dark for our heroes.

The big revelation was Aria saying she was going to King's Landing and didn't expect to return. Of Course that means she is going after Cerci and more than likely won't be successful. We all know Cerci has to go out in the blaze of glory, and getting a knife to the gut by Arya isn't good enough.

I'm looking forward to the hound and the mountain going toe to toe. should be an epic fight.

In conclusion, Dani looks pissed, lost her best friend and dragon in one episode. She is going to do something stupid unless John arrives to set her straight.

The odds are as even as possible, should be an epic finish.

I had to ask some of the people I was watching with but she said "Dacrarys" which means fire. It is what Dany says to the dragons when she wants them to light someone up.

I think Dany kills Samwell. He's the one that read the book that said Jon Snow is the rightful king. She can't let that information hang out there. Although it is already leaking.

And where is Theon's sister? I thought she took back the navy? Very confusing -- but great!

She took back her island. The guy with all the ships had the island but now he's boning Cersei and left his island undefended.

Ayra might try to kill The Mountain or Cersei, both are on her list, but I think those fights belong to The Hound and Jaime. Outside of those two, I think she’s going back to kill the third and only other remaining living person on her list, Ser Ilyan Payne, who beheaded Ned Stark.

Loved how the show gave absolutely nothing away in the preview for the next episode. I’m just hoping HBO holds true to end this the way GRRM intended and doesn’t pull of some BS with all of the good guys winning. That was my only complaint with the third episode, all of the major characters lived and seemed to be standing victoriously alone in all of their respective areas of the castle with EVERYONE dead around them. A bit too much.

In the final episode a meteor hits.
