Javian Hester watch

Huh? Gimme a break...certainly just as good if not better. Question is where does he rank on Texas' board in relation to a guy like Q Johnston? Both guys have played their recruitments pretty quiet to the media. The coaching staffs probably have a better idea where both guys stand along with a guy like Johnny Wilson.

Dominoes will fall eventually.

The difference, from my point of view, is Johnston is a definite take, and Hester will be there if Texas decides they want him.

I don't buy that he's a take in July.

What evidence suggests Herman is hard after him beside him being offered a while back?

That's really all I've tried to point out.

Herman offers lots of guys.
If he commits which means his offer is committable it’s pretty obvious the staff is hard after him. If he commits it means they aren’t just keeping him on ice waiting on the decision of others. It’s means they value him regardless of the outcome of others.

It’s also comical how you choose to value the opinion of mods, writers etc... to make your point yet you don’t value their rankings. It’s one or the other.

Herman says all of his offers are committable.

He has to say that in public. I’m sure they all are to an extent but obviously there are ways to keep a player on ice while waiting on what they believe to be higher priority players.

Ok, well you keep dancing around my question of any evidence whatsoever that Texas is willing to take this kid right now.

Also, you don't know how national rankings work if you think all of these writers get to contribute; it's not one or the other.

Plenty of guys have no say at all, and nobody has suggested UT is hot after Hester.

You can have the last word.

Also feel to post proof that the staff isn’t hard after him. To save you the time of looking, there is none.

Where your evidence that they aren’t willing to take him? Post it please or shut the **** up.
Also I have no idea what your last post means but I think most are aware of how the rankings work

The only evidence that I know of is that a reporter says he is close to committing to Texas. But he could be wrong or the kid may be talking without speaking with the coaches first.

Dude, no need to get like that.

I asked you to provide evidence he's a take, you can't. I told you I haven't seen any evidence ever (I read a lot) he is either, but you also won't accept that.

On the rankings, you told me I'm contradicting myself because I believe writers' opinions, but don't respect their rankings.

I then told you only a select few writers on national networks get to contribute to rankings, and the majority of them have no say at all.

Therefore, guys who have seen Hester can also have zero say in his ranking, so it's not one or the other as you suggested.

Maybe he is.

All I have been trying to say is...

a.) that would go against all past evidence
b.) I don't think he's a take in July

I also always acknowledge recruiting doesn't make sense a lot of the time so maybe @downgoesfrazier will be right.

Usually when a kid keeps saying that he loves Texas, but he doesn’t commit for a while, there is something else going on. In that sense, I think you are likely on to something.

Roach at 247 talked to him today...says he still wants to take visits.

IMO, Texas can afford with this smaller class to be extremely picky with WR's.

WR's grow on trees year in, year out.

And I asked you to provide evidence he’s not. Still waiting. I do t have the time or the inclination to go find quotes from writers that think he’s a take. However I have zero doubt that the writers who think he’s worthy of his current ranking think he’s a take.

Bottom line is the only opinion that matters is Herman and staff. If he commits it means they wanted him and you’ve will have been proven wrong. Have a nice day.

I referenced multiple times I've never seen anyone say Texas is recruiting him hard; my evidence is there is no evidence (that I'm aware of).

I can't say it any differently.

Quentin Johnston is a quiet kid too, but I have seen many times that Texas is prioritizing him.

That's the difference and the evidence we have to work with.

You have a nice weekend as well.

Texas feels good about Wilson and Johnson, they like Shelton but he is probaly Juco.Achane wants to play RB not slot. They would take Hester in a heartbeat along with Wilson and Johnson.Schollys are not going to be a problem--24 to 26.--utx

Without any attrition, we are already at 17 open ships for 2020. Seems like we will have 24-26 scholarships available factoring in average attrition.

Really hope LV can work out his grades because he’s a borderline 5 star guy imo. I’d push for Johnston and LV and then have Hester as a contingency plan should we miss on Wilson
