Good column, good list.

I agree with you that #1 is clear and then it’s sort of a free for all. I’d have included Just the Way You Are and Goodnight Saigon, which I think brilliant in its way. But it’s a matter of taste and, as always, when and how any song entered your life
Nothing wrong with this post. ;)

Really enjoyed reading the column. Totally agree on the Sanders part, and you could really make a case for about a half dozen guys for offensive MVP. When was the last time we had that kind of talent. Sark deserves much credit for this as well as the players.

Hey @Ketchum as sweet as the pass was to JT, the pass that made my jaw drop was a roll left and then he quickly turned his shoulders and sidearmed a bullet to Worthy that X man dropped. Seeing that pass on person was simply jaw dropping. You could not tell as much on TV how amazing and dead on that pass was, but to see it in person was simply fantastic.

Defense is 13th in yards allowed per play (4.54), a little ahead of Georgia and Clemson.
Offense is 15th in the same stat (6.94 per play), surprisingly even ahead of USC.

That’s a tough combination to beat.

BTW, if Quinn had enough snaps to qualify, he’d be 2nd in the country in QBR rating, right behind Stroud.

No. 8 - Scattershooting on anything and everything ...

... If I had a vote that mattered ...

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3 Ohio State
4. USC
5. Michigan
6. Clemson
7. Ole Miss
8. Tennessee
9. TCU
10. Oklahoma State

Always a fun read. As for your vote, USC at #4 is a no for me.

Do you base this on who you think the top 4 will be at the end of the season, or you think they are currently better than everyone else except the perennial power house programs?

My eyes see a team that’s about as good as the top 3-4 Big12 teams that will be beating each other up over the next two months.

Also, ‘Bama’s performance, at home, in the game they circled on their calendar a year ago, was troubling. I understand Bryce didn’t play, but staring defeat in the face as THAT Aggie offense snapped the ball from the two was so completely unexpected, I’m not sure I can give them a pass. And I’m not convinced they’re winning next week - BY or not.

“…This Mississippi State team might just be the best outfit that Mile Leach has had since 2008.”

Was thinking about this earlier. I know it’s a long-ish shot - but what if they win the west? @Ketchum mentioned that it’s possible that Aggies finish below .500 - if those two things happened simultaneously, heads would explode all over college station.

Who are the four first round picks you are referring ? I am thinking
1. Quinn
2. Bijan
3. Sanders
4, Banks
5. Worthy
6. Campbell***

@Ketchum if you ever luck out and run into the Stern interview of Joel in later '21 take a listen.

Stern is the GOAT interviewer and gets some good stuff out of Joel.

Joel continued to pay his entire band throughout the Pandemic. He is just a good dude.
