The Father is way too existential. Good but very vicarious.
100% disagreement. Absolutely incredible film and may be one of Hopkins best performances ever. If you have or have had family members with Dementia, it may be rough to watch but, superbly acted and incredibly well written.

I didn’t say it wasn’t good. We agree about the quality. It’s a fantastic film, and Hopkins absolutely nails it. I’m saying it’s hard to watch because it’s so real.
