Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Leavitt just couldn't help himself...)

Good write up @Ketchum.
Man I only watched Dune 2 on that movie list. I think I watch more shows than movies now a days.
Go Horns!! 🤘🤘

This Longhorns team just has one question for Leavitt and his team…..

I don’t want to play osu or oregon. Maybe after we beat asu we can find a way to avoid the winner of that game. Michigan at least put a way to beat osu on tape. Nobody has yet shown a successful path for beating oregon.

Honestly, we're at a point where I hesitate to even bring Ewers' name up in conversation, as he's turned into the Greg Davis of Texas quarterbacks ... a guy with a resume that can't really be doubted, yet there's always constant discussion about all of the doubt.
Great article and this is an interesting comparison. Pretty smart indeed. Greg Davis caught a ton of flack but had the most productive offense in the history of Texas football. Is this comparison fair with respect to Quinn? I feel like I know what was intended which makes this thought so interesting but need to think on it some more to confirm whether it's accurate.

Do what Ohio state did the first time and then don’t have a boneheaded Mistake to lose the game on the last play.

do what Boise did and don’t give up a punt and kick return for TD in the second half.

It's going to be a while before they truly matter again.
That contract extension they gave Venables will hurt them for years. The DC fleeing for WV is a flashing red light that the beginning of a massive dumpster fire is here. Their advantage of under the table $$$ is over with NIL. With the exception of a few O&G donors, they don't have a wealthy donor base. A lot of the money they do have will go toward buying out Venables and his staff. These are truly the good old days.

Losing the DC to West Virginia, of all places, is a glowing red sign.

2020 won 25 of its first 26 premier league games.
Fair. Although some of those early non-wins might be attributable to an adjustment period under a new manager.

I think this team is more composed than Klopp’s squads. We shall see.

The 2020 Liverpool team is the greatest in Premier League history.

It followed up a CL title and almost finishing with 100 points in 2019 to putting together the most dominant stretch of football in the history of the league, taking 103 of 105 points in one stretch.

Let's put some respect on that team's name.
