North Shore is overrated

Well I see we have a rematch for all the marbles against Katy. Should be fun!

I'll be there tomorrow. I think North Shore gets revenge. They are hitting on all cylinders. And no, North Shore isn't "overrated". If Katy wins, I will be more than gracious to give them credit and congratulate them. However, if NS wins, I wonder if Wasatch will show up here and eat his plate of crow and admit that he was wrong?

You can bet your ass he has been lurking and waiting for his opportunity. Sad thing is to get mad over a sports debate and just run away and pout like he did.

What happened to the running back that got suspended for NS - is he playing? And did he commit somewhere? (Or am I confusing teams/threads?!)

I assume you are talking about Evans. He is supposedly a hard lean to LSU, but his recruitment has been a wild ride. Their backup RB was committed to Arkansas but decommitted when Morris got canned. They have some talent obviously.

Zach Evans was allowed back on the team. He's been playing well since he came back. Had 340 yards rushing and 2 TD's last week. Had two long runs called back by penalty and got tackled twice at the goal line. Otherwise, he would have scored 4 TD's. Ron Hoff, Katy's leading rusher, has missed the last two weeks with a knee injury. They're saying that he's going to try to go tomorrow. North Shore's stud WR, Shadrach Banks is out with a broken leg.

Hopefully Hoff is healthy. Id like to see both teams at full strength.

Just found out some new wrinkles that North Shore is going to throw at Katy that they are not going to be prepared for at all. I think NS rolls them easily.

Gary Joseph is one of the best highschool coaches in the Country. The kids have been running the same offense and defense since the 7th grade. I highly doubt North Shore is going to come up with something that will catch him off guard. They may have come up with something to create favorable matchups they feel they can exploit but they aren't going to look like an undisciplined Texas defense.

North Shore wins 56-35. Wonder how wasatch likes his crow cooked? North Shore and Duncanville rematch should be a fun game and I am definitely gonna be there because I don’t think either team is losing until then.

Welp, I guess North Shore isn’t “overrated” after all. I was at the game. NS doubled Katy in yardage and left no doubt who the best team in the Houston area is. How about a heaping plate of crow, Wasatch, with all of the crap that you talked?!

North Shore should be Katy like that. When your enrollment is over 5K students, you should be crushing everyone you play.

Coaching still matters. All the Plano schools are huge but they aren't routinely winning state. NS has a large pool but they have one of the best coaches out there.

That wasn’t the point of the thread though. Wasatch simply stated that they were overrated after the first game this year and it is very clear that this team is far from overrated. Not to take anything away from Katy because they have a hell of a football program.

I never said that it didn't. A good coach with a multitude of competitive advantages over the teams they play, should dominate its opposition.

The talent that Jon Kay has at his disposal is as good as any public school in the country. It is vastly superior to the Plano ISD high schools combined. That doesn't include the numerous kids from all over East Houston that magically appear in GPISD ready to play football.

It must be that ship channel water.

I'll leave this right here. North Shore dominated the game. Three of Katy's touchdowns came on a blocked punt, a kick off return and a 75-yard pass.

Went to the North Shore vs. Atascosita game this afternoon in Houston. NS absolutely demolished Atasco, which is a very good team, 76-49. They play Lake Travis next Saturday at 4PM at Reeves Stadium in Round Rock.

Duncanville plays Rockwall. It'll be a rematch of NS and Duncanville at Cowboys Stadium for 6A D1 state.

Why the heck are they playing in Round Rock?

Also my Gators shit the bed the first 5 minutes against Atascosita but we would have been drilled by NS too.

That’s against Hudson Card Lake Travis. I wouldn’t so easily discount them like that. They beat a tough Judson team. No doubt NS is loaded with talent though, so should be a good game.
BTW, Reeves is “technically” in Austin, but is Round Rock school district. It’s only 1 mile from my house, I can hear the bands play, so I may have to check it out.

Damn. What the fvck went on in here. It smells like sex and scotch whiskey.

That's true. These four teams left in 6A D1 are very, very good. Sure, LT could beat NS. Rockwall could also beat Duncanville. Watching NS these last four weeks, I've never seen their offense hitting on all cylinders like this. Davis and Evans are going nuts every week, and no one can stop them. NS put up 805 yards of total offense yesterday, and over 500 yards rushing. When you have a chance, pay close attention to the NS QB, Davis. He has really taken their offense to another level. Yes, they did give up a lot of points to Dawson and Atasco, but what most people don't see is the stops their defense has been getting when they need to make a stop and force a punt. These next three games will be fun to watch!

LT is going to get boat raced.

Rockwall and Duncanville are overrated in my view. (I kid, I kid)

I like Wasatch and wish he would return.

Sometimes you have to swallow your pride and admit your wrong. Some people just have a tougher time doing this. North Shore is the real deal and we tried to tell him this.

Duncanville is athletic and has speed Southlake thought they would have revenge and the future longhorn ate them up the middle. Rockwall is shocking that they have made it this far. They are in Longview district and Longview rocked them during they season. Yeah Longivew lost to Jesuit and Jesuit had a magical run losing to Westfield in Houston yesterday, which I knew Jesuit wouldn't make it to state.
