North Shore is overrated

I would think it’s going to be a rematch of last year. Y’all need to make plans to watch cause last years game was bad ass! Don’t think it can be matched but maybe.

Duncanville is athletic and has speed Southlake thought they would have revenge and the future longhorn ate them up the middle. Rockwall is shocking that they have made it this far. They are in Longview district and Longview rocked them during they season. Yeah Longivew lost to Jesuit and Jesuit had a magical run losing to Westfield in Houston yesterday, which I knew Jesuit wouldn't make it to state.
Rockwall has an absolute dominant offense lead by Jaxon Smith Njigba, an tOSU commit. Dude has balled out during the playoffs. Its been incredible to watch

North Shore and Lake Travis about to get started across the street from my house. May check it out, but also see it will be on tv here, so may watch from the comfort of my couch.

Im heading over to check it out now.

Im at the game and man, NS look like men against boys out here. Card has a nice frame but NS is just dominating LT physically.

Second half about to start. Right now looks like it could be an epic blowout.

LT having success throwing it. Wonder why they didn't do it in the first half.

Stupid INT by NS. I sense some cockiness on their part but Card is getting very confident throwing the ball now.

Evans is just so strong against high school competition. He runs very upright at times he stays on his fert and is always moving forward with confidence.

Really nice TD run by Card but I think all that's remaining is a final score. LT has tried 4 or 5 onside kicks but only recovered one.

Without good replay impossible to determine if Evans was down by contact but it was ruled a fumble out the back of the endzone.

Great play by Card and LT scores again. 49-38. Another onside kick coming Im sure.

It was a legitimate fumble. Replays on tv confirmed it.

So Northshore wins. However I have to give LT a lot of credit for coming out in the second half and not giving up. Hudson Card has wheels and a nice deep ball. They made great adjustments in the second half while NS looked uninterested and sloppy.

Evans was always a threat to score anytime he touched the ball but he was also a little bitch on one play where he got tackled early and threw a hissy fit over it.

Overall NS was better but LT showed what they lack is athleticism against an equally well coached team.

NS might actually be overrated though. They really outphysical and out talent their opponents and they have a great coach but in the second half LT was better.

Ahh man, kicking a dude when he is down. LMM can’t even be here to defend them. JK.

NS should have scored 60 and held LT to 20. Evans is scary good but unless an LT player called his mom the N word he acted like a punk after getting taken down on a solid tackle.

and apparently he wasn't there for the first half or so. Taking the SAT? Dude seems like a disaster. It'll be interesting to see what happens to him in college. I for one am very glad to have landed Bijan and not Evans. Bijan is a class act in all ways imaginable.

Y'all realize that both Lake Travis and Westlake made it to the semifinals with Westlake advancing----?

They are in the same district. Their schools are literally neighbors. I remember when LT was the school that parents moved their kids to because they weren't getting to play at Westlake.

Yeah but they also take weaker routes to get to this point. The Greater Austin and San Antonio areas just aren't as strong as DFW or Houston.

Well hell, what is? Half the state population is located in those metroplexes. Doesn't take away from the fact that two neighboring schools filled mostly with rich white kids are curb stomping folks.

We had one of the higher ups at the UIL come present in class when I was finishing my Masters back in 2005. They said redistributing was a challenge because approximately half the school aged kids in Texas lived within 100 miles of downtown Houston. I know we have had exponential population growth since then but I am willing to bet the numbers are still close to that.

Westlake and Lake Travis benefit from amazing coaching from 6 to 12 and very strong development programs. Also those kids have very strong parental support, financially, emotionally etc.

My high school played Allen tough in Allen this season and still lost in the 2nd round because we are in Region 3. Its just so much more competitive, and yes, Houstons size and demographics do contribute heavily to that.
