End the season now Duplantier can leave the program Justin Eckhardt sucks too adding Daniel Blair as well....we are losing to air force right now! 15-19 record! Update 14 to 2!.....

From my post this past Saturday...

"Might be time to give Olivarez and Cobb the innings Southard and Duplantier are getting..."

Seen Cobb and Olivarez pitch some and their outings were not bad. They have even worked on Cobb arm angle for throwing and I just get why he hasn't pitched more.

I'm sure Sean Allen is a fine coach. But he isn't a pitching guy. I get that the two previous years he had some success, but you need a pitching guy at this level. The young arms are not progressing. Coaching matters...and they're not progressing. It can only be the players' fault for so long...

Texas most likely will be on the road in Regionals and will be fortunate if they somehow make it to Supers.

Are my eyes failing me or did last nites walk off appear to be hit on the handle?,,,,Oh, well,,,a win is a win!

It's odd how teams are having their best hitting performances against us. Are we tipping pitches and or just that predictable? Teams have figured something out on our guys.

I would imagine a combination of factors.

Pitches are up in the zone.
Predictable sequence of pitches.
Not very good at mixing speeds and locations.
Pitchers don't seem prepared mentally when they get out there.
Pitchers don't seem to understand, or even have a plan of attack.

These are coaching issues. Having a middle infielder as your pitching coach will, more times than not, become an issue.

Texas gets the sweep of the all mighty fighting baylor bears.....13-4 with 5 homeruns today, Ivan had two for 21 on the year.

TCU is still a quality squad. Good series win for Texas. We have gotten 2 of the 3 toughest opponents out of the way. Time to get on about a 16-6 run to finish out the season and solidify a top 8 seed. We'd be 40-16 and should be easily in the top 8 with that.

6-3 so far. Need to finish 10-3 to get to 40 wins.

6-3 finish to conference and 4-0 mid week games. This is 100% doable and should be expected.

41-15, 16-8 is honestly what we should finish. 39-17, 14-10 at the absolute worst. If the latter happens, then we 100% will need to win the Big 12 tournament to be a top 8 seed, and that still might not be enough. 41-15, 16-8 and I think we are assured a top 8. That is how tight baseball is...it is only two wins, but it's huge.
