Ivan just keeps dropping d!ck....3 homeruns yesterday to bring his total to a ncaa leading 25! Idk if anyone else noticed that Pierce changed his game 2 starter to Lucas Gordon. Tristan threw an inning on Tuesday night game also threw an inning on game 1 yesterday. Let's get the sweep today!

Bullpen gives up 5 runs.....I have no clue what they are doing with Tristan, but he didn't even start they pitched Zane Morehouse one inning or two and then they brought in Tristan....and only lasted till the 6th.....
I was scratching my head over how they were using Stevens myself. This team's collective pitching staff is hot garbage.
It's disappointing going from number 1 to this.....it could we worse like Ole Miss and Mississippi State which again got lucky last year to win it. They won't ever smell another one for a very very long time.

I've also seen where Texas is sent to Arkansas as a 2.
If Texas wins out and wins a couple games in tournament they will host a regional. Mark it down
Agree. If Texas wins out against SHSU and three with Kansas, which they should, and either wins the Big 12 tournament or wins a couple of games, they're going to host.

No doubt Texas' pitching is way off this year, which is an anomaly. I can't recall a Texas pitching staff this bad. Ever. However, that said, aggy has no seat at the table for college baseball's elite. You guys have won squat as a baseball program. Texas won't take a back seat to any baseball program in the SEC once we get there.

You guys get excited about inconsequential regular season accolades. Texas expects to host a regional every single year. When they don’t or there is a question they won’t, the fans will express their displeasure.
Texas AM should be so much better historically, but always blow your wad too soon.
No one here is "concentrating" on a&m backing out of the game. Just stating what is fact. a&m has a history of bailing on athletic contests.
The boys took care of Sam Houston last night 9-2. Melendez went yard again for his 26th. I believe one off the team record of 27.

Sweep Kansas and we are 39-17, 14-10 as I stated should be the absolute worst. Might even be wrong. Not sure we can sweep anyone at this point...unless Stephens gets his crap together.
Sweep Kansas and run through the Big 12 tournament and I think we are just on the outside looking in at a top 8 seed still. I don't think that happens so sweep Kansas and win a game or two in OKC and we host a regional.
Crazy though. I mentioned how big just two games are. Take one of the two ridiculous losses at Tech and the ridiculous collapse on Sunday vs. OkSt. and flip those to wins...
We would sit 38-15, 13-8. Sweep Kansas and we're 41-15, 16-8 as I stated above. Just crazy how it might literally come down to the 2 games I was speaking of back a month ago.
The difference in a top 8 seed and just a regional host will be those two blunders vs. Tech and OkSt.
The difference in hosting a regional and being a #2 is going to be sweeping Kansas and winning 2 ball games in OKC.
Well, they are going to have to win regardless. Pierce has been a disaster for our pitching staff over multiple years. I want to make Pierce dig out of this hole or rightly get buried in the hole when the season ends.

Needs to hire a pitching guy. They've had 1 elite staff (2021), one above average staff (2017) and a bunch of mediocre staffs. 2020 could've been elite, but we had to shut everything down for some bullshit.
Pitching coach or not, A pitcher at Texas has to have a different level of confidence. You cant teach being a "gamer" in my opinion. I bet they all throw strikes in practice.
That being said: Who thought Lucas Gordon would develop the way he has? Now imagine not losing Tanner. This is probably a 6 or 7 loss team.

Young arms aren’t progressing, rather regressing. Coaching matters. Having a pitching coach matters.
Watched the game a little yesterday and they had Duplantier out there horrible pitcher has not got any better and Lucas had to save his a$$ from bases loaded

Pete Incaviglia's single season record of 48 HR's in a season will probably never be broken. However, if/when Melendez breaks the Texas HR record, that's still damn impressive. 🤘
Especially with the bats and balls they use now.
