Whelp, we dropped the 3rd game today 15-7. Witt didn’t make it out of the 1st inning, giving up 3.
This team can win it. They don’t have the pitching depth to win a long Big 12 season but have strong enough arms on the front end to get them through regionals and a SS, and then on to Omaha. Then anything can happen. Just ask MS and Ole Miss. Maybe Witt finds a slot but it looks like he’s still in a rehab role.
Witt will probably get a little more work each week and by tournament time he might be able to go 3 or 4 innings. He was rusty yesterday and didn't have a good command over his pitches and struggled to throw strikes. Got behind in counts and had to throw some down the middle that got hit. He'll get better as he settles in.
Texas should never have to play at Arky in any sport. Those people and the level of hate they spew is just not healthy lol.

Been happening all year.....Pierce has been pissing me off alot this year. I think his time has come we can't have him lead us into the SEC with play like this all year. San Jose state! Come on!
Second game today (24-3) is just another example of why game one was a bad loss. End of day if we win the series it probably doesn’t mean much. It won’t change our seeding. Pierce is still trying to find who he can count on. I have to believe that logic.
He has overly tried using the same guys to count on all year and have failed....we need to sweep WV then our seeding might change they are the number 1 team in the conference....
Pierce and his entire staff are out after the season. Troy Tulowitzki will be the next Head Baseball coach at Texas. Book it.

Nice week and season for the horns. So I am yet again undecided on Pierce. I don’t know how a college coach could do any better than a week like that and a season like that after having to rebuild the roster. Unreal how Thomas has simply turned into one of the best college players right now. Stroking at the plate and unreal defensively. Most coaches would have put him on the bench early in the season. Got to give coach credit for seeing something most of us don’t. And the end result is another conference championship. If they ball in the tournament then they will host a regional.
Big 12 Champs didn't see it but glad we are. Been a rough season and it's playoff time so let's get it and see if we can make another trip to Omaha!
I was pretty hard on this team this year so I’ll gladly eat my crow with them winning the conference. Hopefully that momentum can carry over into the tournament.
Know what you mean. I can’t figure out for the life of me if Pierce is great, good, decent, subpar, or piss poor. Or all of the above. 🤷

It's 7 years.
1993- 2000.
Pierce put us in the CWS in 2021 and 2022.
Is he Cliff?
Is he Augie?
Nope.
If he dry spells us for a couple of years-- bounce him.
But right now- our objective every single year is Omaha.

I've been pretty quiet about baseball because I've been busy lining up a new gig and prepping to move to Brazoria County. This season has been a roller coaster ride but I'm right there with you @Metcalf #2.
Oh I don't know. I've always thought that Oakland Ca. was a worse place to live than Lake Jackson. Of course A's and Raiders games were cheap back then but the BBQ was overrated....

These morons are forever trying to put Texas and Texas A&M in the same region/matchup whilst claiming they don't take rivalries into consideration. It is hilarious.
Off to a terrible start his morning against K State. I'd be really surprised if they are hosting a regional.
