My family and I flew into Seattle a couple days ago and are now in Vancouver. I literally have not used my Chase check card one time since we left Austin.

I got a call last night with a fraud detection alert saying there had been a $50 charge at a phone store. After calling chase, it looks like it was a charge for an inmate phone in Alabama. Also, a charge for some rental car company I've never heard of (I have a rental car here, but used a different credit card).

Both charges were caught and stopped, thankfully. Had to cancel my check card though.

Serious question, any ideas on how the hell someone could get my check card information while I'm on vacation and haven't used it once?
