It's that time of the year when I voraciously consume horror films. I love Halloween season. Since I've worked my way through most of the well-known ones, I thought I'd see if I could get a good recommendation from the board.
Some lesser-known ones I've recently watched:
Lake Mungo - Very well done, creepily atmospheric and affecting.
The Wailing - Pretty good, overly long South Korean supernatural product.
Terrifier - Damn good, nasty li'l low-budge slasher.
Goodnight Mommy - Intriguing, overall decent German product.
Ones I've not watched recently but strongly recommend:
Trick R Treat: Great anthology that will put you in the Halloween spirit.
Rec: One of the best zombie - and foreign horror - movies I've seen.
Triangle (2009): More of a thriller/mystery than horror, it's a clever and enjoyable head trip; very underrated movie.
It Follows: Fantastic supernatural horror.
The Devil's Candy: Not much originality in this one, but it's really good.
What do you got?
