Russia vs Ukraine celebrity deathmatch

This might be significant.....BBC reporting that China abstained from the UN Security Council vote to censure Russia..

You see China has veto power over any security council vote....they did not use it!...China is seen as Russia's strongest ally.....trouble in paradise?...

Ukrainian men seen driving families over border in Poland...to safety...dropping them off and driving back, presumably to fight....I suspect Russia may have underestimated Ukrainian resolve....
Even if only half true, Zelensky has ice water running through his veins. This is a raw display of guts, strength, and resolve. Meanwhile, our Pres Poopy Pants is headed to Delaware for the weekend. Pres Poopy Pants doesn't realize he is humiliating himself.

It's obvious what has happened. China and Russia have made a deal.

"You stay out of the Ukraine situation and we will stay out of the Tiawan situation, when you invade them."

Check it out, caged armor around that tank didn't do much good against whatever hit it. I saw yesterday that MLAW atws were being deployed by the Brits. An MLAW is a shoulder launched anti take missile. Nasty little weapons system. Ukraine may actually pull this off.

Holy barbecue Batman, that was a tank? Wow.

Side note: Did you see the second comment under the video? That’s one disturbing tattoo.

Ukrainian guy says "what happened"

Ukrainian Guy says "Ukraine is kicking your ass right now."

This is not a good look for Russia. When your logistics can't keep your tanks feuled, you've got some serious problems.
The part that REALLY cracks me up is the casual nature of the conversation.

Oh sh!t. This is not good.

How in the fvck did the Russians convince the Chechens to fight for them? The Chechens fvcking HATE the Russians.

Chechens are fvcking nuts. They are the most savage of the savages.

Wasn’t there a radical group of Chechens that was always on Russia’s side?

The Chechens like so many in a rough neighborhood, are opportunists with long memories. Sure they hate the Russians, but they hate the Ukrainians as well. We're talking two thousand years of tribal infighting across Southeastern Europe and South Central Asia. Add some religious fervor and grease the palms and they are absolutely willing to go and do the Russian bidding. The Scots and Irish hate the British but for 300 years have been the best part of the British expeditionary capabilities. So with the Chechens, think The Black Watch or Irish Guards, but without the good whiskey and bagpipes.

@GuaranteedFresh! Can I get a little BDA here?

That second vehicle appears to have a bomb crater next to it..... but I can't tell.
Yeah for sure. There appears to be a few all lined up perfectly directly on the side of the road and spaced out perfectly as well. I highly doubt they were bombed but instead drove right into a textbook ambush.
As far as I understand, there aren't many major highways through the area so predicting route persuaded non-tracked vehicles via bridge elimination ect, will be utilized. We've had our fill of dealing with ied's and understand all too well its effectiveness.

If you'll notice, the truck that was almost completely gone appears to have been a fuel tanker. Perfect convoy target. Well done boys.👍

That's a deep ass crater. That's why I wondered if it was an aerial bomb crater that missed.... because if it hit, there'd be pieces of the truck in the crater. So a hole that deep that wasn't an aerial bomb---- a big ass IED?

That's my take on it. Remember, these guys aren't limited to T-Mobile wired 30yr old bombs and have had quite some time to prepare a defense while Putin wasn't hiding his intentions. Ukraine prepped what they could.
The side of the road looks to be a washout so it's no surprise the blowout was as localized as it was.
It very well could have been an airstrike but if it was, it wasn't the Ukraine that did it. Besides, the literal scorched earth doesn't lend itself to a standard gbu air to ground detonation. You could create that with an explosive napalm type ordinance but I don't think anyone does that. Just my .02c.

Ian has a point fed law issues aside. Still not a good look.

While I share the sentiment, Abbott doesn't really have the authority to do so. International border is federal domain, even if it our states border as well.
We can, and have in some places, circumvent this by building walls a specific distance away from the federal border line but then we are completely dependant on eminent domain. Bad pr.
If I'm not mistaken, Texas has already been sued for authorizing state law enforcement to actually enforce immigration laws.

Something interesting to me is the reported condition of the Russian army, at least what was used in this invasion thus far.

Most everything is very dilapidated, troops very unprepared and/or under equipped, and most of them have just finished their version of basic training.

Is Russian military really in this bad of shape overall? Is this a practice run to war harden their general ranks while the modern troops and equipment stayed in Russia in the event of a future battle with NATO? Is this a planned distraction for puppetmaster china? Lot's of possibilities but I hope it's what you see is what you get.

They either don't have night vision equipment or don't know how to use it. I am with Fresh...From what we have seen, this version of the Russian army would have their hands full with trying to attack a good ole boy deer camp.

I fear something is amiss...

Some Ukrainians captured a Russian tank this morning and were rifling through it talking about dilapidated and poorly kept it was. Commenting that their own Ukrainian gear was in much better shape than what these Russians had.

What I have seen-- T72 and T80 main battle tanks. Yes, they make up the bulk of the Russian tank numbers-- but they are old as hell and lack defense systems.

What I have not seen--- T90 and T14 main battle tanks. The T90, in my opinion, is an even better option that our M1 Abram's. They are 15 tons lighter, cost 1/3 to build and have better active and passive defense systems. They can even fire guided missiles through their freaking gun bore.

The T14-- their newest tank (allegedly very few have been built ~70 or so) has a top speed of 56mph. That's smoke.

Maybe Putin left all the good kit at home. Maybe he underestimated the will of Ukrainians. Maybe he thought they'd throw their hands up like the Afghan men did and roll over.

Whatever the case, Ukraine has bloodied their nose. Putin looks stupid. Russia looks weak. And those are a bad mixture when you make a nation with 5000 nuclear weapons look foolish---

What did you do this week?

Mow your lawn?

Take out your trash?

Change out your car oil?

Trim some tree limbs?

Guess what the crown holder of Miss Ukraine did...... she put down her crown and picked up an assault rifle.

Again, what did YOU do this week?

Yes. I'm well versed in the finer points of Con Law. Paxton has already sued DHS and Mayorkas for, among other claims, not spending money previously authorized by Congress to build the border wall as well as ending the Migrant Protection Protocols (the "remain in Mexico" policy). In certain areas, the Biden regime ignores that a constitution or other federal statutes even exist.

My comments are borne more out of frustration than anything else. We play by the rules while the regime ignores the rules. So, while all of the various claims wind their way through the courts, the border remains open and the country continues to suffer irreparable harm.

I'll cease my comments on our country's issues. I know . . . wrong thread.

In summary, everything has gone to $hit and our politicians are all lying hypocrites. Man, I hear and agree with you entirely.

I'm really not sold on Russian military readiness. They have produced some cool toys with lofty claims but where are they? It may be like N Korean parades where they make themselves look advanced and mighty but we all know half that crap is painted cardboard.

Years ago Russia bragged and bragged about their new air dominating SU-47 because of its crazy maneuverability. Well, we later found out the aircraft had cables with moveable counterweights that enabled never before seen acrobatics. This "air to air killer" was no more than worthless airshow fodder because it couldn't carry munitions.
