Russia vs Ukraine celebrity deathmatch

What did you do this week?

Mow your lawn?

Take out your trash?

Change out your car oil?

Trim some tree limbs?

Guess what the crown holder of Miss Ukraine did...... she put down her crown and picked up an assault rifle.

Again, what did YOU do this week?
A few years ago, I had a young gal from Kyiv on my staff. Very intellectually curious and tough as nails.

She came to the US to attend grad school at A&M. Her apt was 4-5 miles from campus but she walked to/from campus every day even in July, Aug, and Sept. Why? Because she had never owned a car in Kyiv and she was accustomed to walking everywhere back home.

I'm really not sold on Russian military readiness. They have produced some cool toys with lofty claims but where are they? It may be like N Korean parades where they make themselves look advanced and mighty but we all know half that crap is painted cardboard.

Years ago Russia bragged and bragged about their new air dominating SU-47 because of its crazy maneuverability. Well, we later found out the aircraft had cables with moveable counterweights that enabled never before seen acrobatics. This "air to air killer" was no more than worthless airshow fodder because it couldn't carry munitions.
This one was pretty good though...

since the weather was crappy at my place today I pretty much sat around and was more worthless than I usually am but I did turn on the news to see what was happening in Ukraine. I was watching Foxnews and they had a retired General on there that made some good points. The General pointed out that Russia is the No. 2 best nation in hacking but they had yet to utilize that option and that by not doing so they were allowing Ukraine to continue to broadcast their own narrative. I think Putin recognizes this incursion is viewed as a low rent move by most of the world so he knows he needs to do it as humane as possible but like others have mentioned I think he thought by giving the optics of an assault by all directions headed to Kiev that Zelensky would do his best Baghdad Bob impression and fold up tent basically handing Putin what he wanted. Hasn't worked so Putin may have to get nastier.

And then Lindsay Graham reminded us all that if we want to hurt Russia we need to stop buying 500,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia

Russian GDP is comparable to that of Italy and they are run like a mafia organization. They are rich in natural resources and they use that revenue to invest in things that keep them in power while siphoning off the rest to enrich themselves. Putin and his cronies don't really hold their wealth. They spread it out to the oligarchs hide it western finical institutions or luxury properties. Entrepreneurship doesn't really happen on a large scale because the mob bosses come looking for their cut. Because of this Russia large swaths of the Russian Economy have failed to modernize at the rate of other Eastern European countries. Putin has modernized their nuclear arsenal and developed top notch cyber capabilities. They have also invested a significant amount of resources in information warfare and have deployed massive troll farms to so discord in the West.

However he hasn't spent the money to modernize and equip the other areas of the armed forces. A bulk of the Russian soldiers in Ukraine are fresh conscripts backed up by some their more elite forces. The conscripts are poorly trained poorly fed and poorly equipped and don't really have a desire to fight. Its like what happened in Afghanistan. The regular Afghan army was 300,000 strong and better equipped than the 80,000 Taliban Fighters but they simply walked off the battle field. The Russian Conscripts are being pushed onto the battle field but really don't have a desire to fight so they are underperforming against and inferior army.

Can a brotha get a "danger close" call out? I mean, damn......

A 7-second clip that a dear colleague, who lives near Kiev, shared with me. It is filmed thru her office window. Far away is the electrical power plant that's being attacked. Please watch the last few seconds.

Please help support the great people of Ukraine.

Pretty much laid out the Chechen involvement in all this.

So what’s up with this talks of ceasefire etc. I’m hearing about and why is Belarus bumping their gums about attacking Ukraine? I can’t imagine Putin agreeing to a ceasefire unless Ukraine is willing to give up all power to Russia which, so far, seems unlikely.

Putin likely NEEDS a temporary ceasefire to resupply and regroup.

Belarus has never gotten along with Ukraine or anything western for that matter. They are Russia minor. Think of them as a Russian version of our very own Puerto Rico that wants all of the bennies but none of the responsibility. Apparently they are voting on allowing Russia to stock them up with nukes.......grrrreeeaaaat.

Fvck Putin in his ass, and Belarus too. Let the motherfvucking missiles fly if that's that's what they want to do. I'd rather die than live in a world where an @sshole like putin gets to call the shots.

I'm so filled with hatred and anger for Putin and Russia that I just don't give a fvck anymore.

If the poo hits the fan, you guys are all welcome to hole up at my little ranchito. Arms aren't banned, they're mandatory and EVERYONE helps maintain the aquaponic gardens.

Cali, you are more than welcome to join too but if I hear one "yay Biden", you're booted from the cave. 😂

Join the club brotha. A couple buddies of mine are considering unretiring for the cause. They’re trying to get me permission from the wifey to tag along. No thanks.

Did you see where he threatened Sweden and Finland politically and militarily if they join NATO? I understand putting pressure by telling these countries that they won’t trade with them or anything of the like as a consequence to joining NATO, but a threat of actual force for doing something in your own sovereign country is on a whole other level of insanity. Especially, since these other countries aren’t hostile. This particular threat should clarify with crystal clarity how dangerous Putin is.

Last time Russia attacked Finland, the Finns killed so many Russians that some of their machine gunners actually went mad.

Right now Putin is probably feeling like a caged animal and I'd rather our weak ass President not add any unneeded fuel to the fire considering he's compromised already.

That's exactly what I'm talking about westx. He's trying to take away freedom by using the threat of death. I have had enough of it.

And I agree that he's incredibly dangerous, not least of all because it's possible soon he personally won't have anything left to lose.

But so be it. Enough is enough. He has to be crushed just like Hitler, and if that means a nuclear holocaust, then that's still better than living under tyranny.

Agree. What about China? Shouldn’t we also be super angry with Xi for unleashing the Wuhan virus and the fentanyl pipeline? I certainly am.

You read my mind, because I almost added Xi that post you quoted, and I put the Chinese leader in about the same category as Putin, but not quite though. He is pretty bad. A monster in his own right, but all he's done is saber-rattle as far as Taiwan. Furious with Xi and his stance on Ukraine though. It shows you his true nature.

Pro tip-- we are always at a state of nuclear readiness.
Joe has no idea what he's saying-- but at the same time, movies would have you believe launching nuclear missiles "always" takes a long time to stand up and deploy. We've got subs that "used to be able" to swap out the ordinance on a Tomahawk from conventional to big boom in no time. Now we've "changed" that policy. But like anything the US sidelines, it's usually because they found a better way to do it.

We current set at threat DEFCON 3.

Dude My post was directed at dipshit Joe introducing mask wearing and social distancing to nuclear readiness protocol. I understand we don’t have to go in and hire a cleaning company to knock the cobwebs off the arsenal.
