It's a bizarre fit indeed. Maybe Stumblin's going to pull a Mack and try to copy Bama on O. He's already been thoroughly mediocre, though, so it's not like there will be any similar fall from grace for him, whatever he does.
Hey, when you only have one QB on the roster and no talented ones......maybe Sumlin is being brilliant here to give up on his O and make it a less QB centric offense.
Just because it didn't work for Mack....doesn't mean it won't for Sumlin. I mean Mack failed because he tried to push a square peg in a round hole. Taking an O with an OL and a bunch of recruits built for the spread O and wide split blocking and forcing them immediately in to a power I lineup.
Its not like Sumlin and ATM isn't full of a roster built for the spread or anything?
