Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert.


Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night." So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job.

Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies.

Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One was to do the studies and one was to write the reports.

Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So they created two positions: a time keeper and a payroll officer then hired two people.

Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary.

Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $918,000 over budget, we must cut back." So they laid off the night watchman.

NOW slowly, let it sink in.

Quietly, we go like sheep to slaughter. Does anybody remember the reason given for the
establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY during the Carter administration?

Anybody? Anything? Anyone? No? Didn't think so!

Bottom line is, we've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency, the reason
for which very few people who read this can remember!

AND NOW IT'S 2022 -- 45 YEARS LATER -- AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS "NECESSARY" DEPARTMENT IS AT $242 BILLION A YEAR. IT HAS 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES; AND LOOK AT THE JOB IT HAS DONE!

(THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY, "WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?") 34 years ago 30% of our oil consumption was foreign imports. Today 70% of our oil consumption is foreign imports.

Ah, yes -- good old Federal bureaucracy.

You could add the Department of Education to that list. Since the creation of the Department of Education, we have seen adult and child literacy rates plummet. If oil is essential to all production and transportation, literacy is fundamental to learning. A study conducted a few years ago showed the average American college freshman was reading at a 6th grade level. I see the decline in literacy in my students. They don't read, and asking them to read closely, is torture. They want to be able to just be told stories, watch movies, and get instruction from YouTube. And I am blessed, my students are capable and generally have good support systems in place.

I would like to know why the American taxpayer has to pay $30,000.00 / month for Hunters house and $40,000.00 / month for the secret service house next to it? We have to furnish all Presidential relatives with housing? If the bastard is worth all those millions he gets from China, why can't he pay his own rent?

Nothing will happen. In case you guys haven't figured it out yet, when you get to Congress, they sit you down and inform you of all the shady or illegal sh!t they know you took part in. Call it your "welcome to DC" housewarming gift.
Then they tell you that you're different NOW than civilians are. And in order to have continuity of government, you've got to keep your trap shut about what you see and hear in this town.
Then they tell you that if you do decide to leave the reservation and expose dirt on other elected officials, then your file full of ditty sh!t will be released to the public so your career is ruined.

Now when Trump was elected, he was an outsider. The people that elected him already knew his dirt. He was a horn dog. A big mouth. A bull sh!tter. A blow hard. A horn dog.... and they accepted who he was.
