Has been the whole tournament. Really stepped up without Allen this week
Man if we keep playing like this we can win it all.
Yeah this team is absolutely capable of going to the final 4. Gonna depend on matchup. If they run in to a team with a legit post presence that is gonna be a problem.
The man who has the toughest job in America right now is Chris Del Conte. If you aren’t going to give Terry the job full time you better come out with a legit bad ass hire and there are only a few guys who would fit that bill

Hey I was the same way. Honestly if we had lost to Ok state or TCU I wouldn’t have really cared but it’s good to win.
And neither game was close. We just dominated the #1 seed in the land twice in a row.

Believe the poster you mentioned said we’d be lucky to finish 5th in the conference and when Beard was suspended said we ought to just pack it in that everyone was gonna hit the portal.
And on a side note. Texas deserves a 1 seed over Houston. Houston is a well coached, talented team, but they played the 102 ranked schedule in the country, and may be without their best player for the tournament. The big 12 is just a different level. Every night your playing a tournament team or a team on the bubble.

This reminds me of the conundrum that Michigan was in back during the freshman year for the Fab Five in the 90's. Bill Frieder left the program mid-season to take the Arizona job. Assistant Coach Steve Fisher was named interim coach and led them all the way to the Final Four. He was given the head job after that season and had a nice run with the Wolverines for about 8-10 seasons. Fisher's only head coaching experience prior to that was with San Diego St.
Yep. At this point there are only a couple guys that you could reasonably argue for over Terry. Donovan, Wright, maybe Mark Few and Scott Drew. That’s basically it.

Brock Cunningham is now the one and only Texas player with 2 Big 12 Tournament Championships. Elite Texas trivia factoid gentlemen.
Brock is one of my favorite players in all of college basketball, This guys guards all 5 positions, never misses a defensive assignment, knows how to make the right pass, hits open shots, rebounds well, sets perfect screens, and is usually the toughest and most physical player on the court. He can actually control the flow of the game without having a single offensive play drawn up for him. This guy is an old school, playground baller that is so refreshing to see. He plays the game the right way and has a winning attitude which is what you need if you're going to compete for championships. As soon as his eligibility is up, I would immediately hire him as part of the coaching staff. He's going to be a head coach someday and probably a damn good one.

I honestly don’t care if we’re a 1 seed or 2 seed… just place us in a region that’s IN Texas! 🤘
Their aren’t any regionals in Texas this year.
The 4 regional sites are Vegas, Kansas City, New York and Louisville. Final 4 would be in Houston.
Aren’t even any 1st or 2nd round games in Texas. Closest 1st and 2nd round game site is probably Birmingham
Terry and the coaching staff has done an awesome job coaching and helping keep the team together. Hope if Terry's the man, the rest of the staff stays.
Yeah if they keep Terry they need to give Ogden and Bob Donewald a nice raise and get them to stay as well
I suspect he has already been extended. He has done a very good job with a veteran team. Let's get him all the help he needs to get the top transfers and recruits. I believe he was in charge of recruiting so he shouldn't be too wet behind the ears. It's the team building piece that I am concerned about. Anyway, nice to win and to beat Kansas by 20, that was fun.
He’s already got two of the top recruits in the country signed, you’ve got Morris coming back(I assume) he’ll have Cunningham, maybe Hunter and Mitchell coming back as well. I think Disu can come back to if he wishes
Get 2-3 dudes out of the portal and you are ready to go.
