Chris Beard to Texas

How dare Chris Beard leave Tech for a higher paying job and better opportunity. Antifa brain disorder is alive in Lubbock.

The good thing, imo, is that Beard is not the kind to get intimidated. If anything, he and the team will respond on the court with even more incentive.

I love it - hate makes a rivalry. That said - this game is being talked up even on sports talk radio here in Dallas. The more they talk it up, the more likely something might happen. Lets hope not, but rarely do I get excited about a regular season game.
 
Yes. I spent time in Lubbock and at Tech. It's the crazy ex-girlfriend syndrome. They wonder why the other girl gets you and can't accept you wanted something different. So they spread rumors and try to get get a stab any chance they get.
I talked to my friends last night that I made while out there.....they are embarrassed by how they are acting. They said they should be clapping and appreciating what he did for their team. They feel the fault was Beard made them believe to their soul that Tech was his dream job.........they can't accept it was Texas...........

KTCK 1310 the Ticket in Dallas is doing a story now - a local brewery is giving out free beer to everyone in line, beginning at ... 2:00 pm. Supposedly thousands are there. College student + free beer + emotional charge = uh oh.

It’s gonna take a defensive effort equal to the early 2nd half on Tennessee to even have a shot, and that may not be enough honestly

One of Tech’s better players played for Rodney Terry at UTEP. How did we not target that kid? Lol
 
Texh is a good team, no denying that. I like that Texas has gotten a bit more physical. Need more of that.
 
Beard finally playing Askew and Carr together and allowing Carr to be more aggressive looking to score. Maybe he’s finally seen the light?

Do you disagree? I truly thought they’d match the intensity of the game for the first half, or for at least part of the first half and they really didn’t. They got punched in the mouth and never really got back in it

It’s hard to beat good teams when you don’t really have a true point guard and are light in the britches at pretty much every position. Beard will get it done, but needs a couple of bangers and a guy who can penetrate to create advantages for his teammates. Tech has better athletes than we do. That was clear tonight.

Horns aren’t in the same league with Tech and when we make your sorry a$$ basketball arena “USA Spirit East” in a few weeks CCC and Del Conte will be begging to leave the Big 12…

Beard’s boys aren’t tough enough to battle the top dogs in the big 12…keep doing less with more !!!!!

Tech is a bonafide final four team…there is only one team we are worried about at this point - Gonzaga…they handled us pretty easy earlier this year even with us holding Timme and Holmgren to 12 points combined…they shot lights out from three…

This said if we do not end up in their bracket we will make the final four.

Tech was amped up for this one and spent a lot of effort and emotions on this one game. They’re going to give this win back when they lose to KSU or OSU or some other B12 team. We’ll play out the rest of the season and see what happens in the B12 tournament and ncaa tourney. Tech has 2-3 more conference losses coming their way. Maybe more. I look forward to playing them again in Austin. Most fans don’t realize that basketball is a game where each time two teams play each other multiple times in a season each game takes on a life of its own. You rarely see the game play out the same way. Tech made a lot of threes tonight. Their shots were going down. Some nights are like that. Other nights those same shots don’t go down. It’s a make or miss game. You just keep shooting with confidence and without hesitation. But your defense and effort needs to be constant at all times. Tech made all the effort plays tonight. Next time we’ll see what happens.

While the tech fans were chanting F*ck UT in the first half our players assumed the fetal position and told tech to just get it over quickly.
