I'm pretty sure he is referring to the b12's willingness to cheat on Tech's behalf. We need to import some cboy fans to do a little at home intimidation.
Leaving for another school is one thing but if you're TT it's got to be infuriating that your head coach left for UT.
Then TX announced they were leaving for the SEC. You saw what happened in fb last year. TT won't be able to get back at us in fb but in hoops they can. Next week is their chance to get some payback against us and Chris Beard.
Willingness? Examples?. Texas hasn’t needed any help in sabotaging its FB and BB seasons this or any other year for the last half decade. I’m a fan of your postings, but this sounds like Stacy Abrams still whining about losing in Georgia. Tech has a REALLY good team - losing in Lubbock wont be because of “willingness to cheat”. At least KCHorn sides with me - he’ll blame any loss on Beard’s incompetence coaching offense!

This team will need to learn how to finish. They were dominant defensively for the first 35 minutes. The last 5 minutes they were playing tight and undisciplined.

We still lost the sec/big 12 challenge it was 6-4 in favor of the sec....

Just finished watching the game on DVR. That was a gotta have it game and they got it done, but man blowing a 17 point lead in like 6 mins…just absurdly bad.
I’m not sure why we continue to force the Marcus Carr PG thing. It doesn’t work and the offense moves better when other guys are running the offense. Carr is clearly not comfortable doing it so your doing a disservice to him and the team.
Glad we got the win. Schedule is brutal the rest of the way. Hopefully they can build off the last two games

Yes, Carr is better suited playing off the ball instead of running the point. He should be used as a shooting guard coming off screens and driving to the basket. He doesn’t have pure playmaking skills you need from your point guard. He’s still learning to play point.
Yep Ramey isn’t a PG either but he’s more comfortable doing it than Carr is. They made the point on the broadcast that Devin Askew has played 45 mins in the last 3 games hasn’t turned the ball over. That’s your PG. I’m not sure why Beard continues to force it with Carr
Because he's 16-5, just beat a ranked team, has won 3 in a row, and knows how to get a team to the Final 4?? I understand you are not a fan of Beard - fine by me. I am a fan. He just led his team to a huge victory over a ranked team. There is a good chance Texas will be ranked this week, and this win will go a long ways towards helping in the seeding - and I am on record as saying a victory in the Big Dance will constitute a successful season. I like 30 point wins better, but I thoroughly enjoyed this W.
We’re 16-5 but really haven’t played anyone. Before yesterday our best game was probably Seaton Hall, or Iowa state and we lost both of them. We’re going to know a lot more about how good, or not good this team is over the next couple weeks.
Beard keeps talking about how they have to cut down the turnovers(which is true) but the source of a lot of those turnovers is Carr not being comfortable playing PG, so you have two choices. You can keep doing it and getting the same results which he says they can’t do, or you can try something else.
If we have any goals of making a run in the tourney, it won’t be with someone still learning to play PG. We need to get a natural point if we have any visions of being uber successful.
Good grief, man! Now, I don't disagree with you on carr, but everything else-- we could beat Kansas and you'd find a way to discredit it. "Oh well we wouldn't have beaten the Kirk Heinrich teams"... You sound like so many we have on this board that b&m about everything the football program does so that if we win, they can be happy that we won; and if we lose they can be happy they can say I told ya so.
If Chris beard "fails"-- whatever definition that is-- here, you can crow. But nobody will even know for several years. YEARS. This year isn't make our break. Just take a deep breath and try to enjoy basketball for just a bit. Tech, Houston, Virginia, Baylor-- all defense first teams that have played in the finalweekend the last couple years. Your hypothesis is bad. And I was at the game last night-- for most of the second half it was a defensive CLINIC. Not good defense. A flippin CLINIC.
There’s no reasoning with this *#£]*! Why does anyone here believe or expect Texas should win a championship this year? He brought a lot of guys in from other teams and has them playing hard! These guys might have been good on other teams/confs but this is the Big 12 and it’s damn good if you haven’t noticed. He built a juggernaut in smelly ol Lubbock and I’m counting on him doing that here but holy freaking crap not in one year. I have blocked a lot of goners and ags but never a fellow fan but you know what…..it will prolly happen soon sublet!
Just look at the shape Beard left Tech in for an indication of what he is capable of. I know as much as Tech fans don’t want to admit but Beard came in and changed the culture of that program and left them in good shape. He’s playing with a makeshift roster this year. Let him get a couple of recruiting classes in here. I’m not sure what there wasn’t to like about the hire.

So most of the second half was a clinic accept for the part where we blew a 17 point lead and almost lost? Lol I admit that they started the 2nd half very well but whatever good there was gets overshadowed when you blow a lead like they did yesterday. With a 17 point lead that should of been a game the walk on’s got a few mins
Before yesterday's game the best our record could be today is 16-5. We are 16-5 today. If we got some lessons out of it to handle situations better next time, all the better. See you Tuesday when you will cry win, lose or draw

I won’t be surprised at all if we win this game tonight. Tech should win just based on the odds but they’re so jacked up about a regular season game they may over play and make a bunch of mistakes in the process.
