I'll PM ya next time I'm in town.when we are we going to go get drunk together and make this relationship official?
I'm buying.

I remember you distinguishing that was Jason's opinion, and you didn't agree with it.That was Suchomel's opinion. He's a bit of a I'll-see-it-when-I-believe-it character. My reporting, which is linked throughout the story, was always firm on that point.
Amen on this bamahorn1. Emphasis on TOP Texas HS talent - it has been a while since we have been able to claim this - and I am old enough to remember the days when UT ruled the recruiting waves in the State of Texas. When you get the TOP tier of talent it sure will make you look good as a coach. Hook Em.Last sentence in #3 "Texas fans needed something to bitch about". I chuckled out loud on that one. You speak the truth. I believe TH is the best "fit" we have seen in a while. As young as he is, I doubt he will be "perfect" early in his career. But I do believe he is driven, detail oriented, and will REFUSE to wallow in mediocrity. He will retain top Texas HS talent, will coach them up, and eventually bring greatness back to Texas Football! I am excited about the journey as a Texas fan. Hook 'em, and try to trust the "process".
I would counter that the non-calm were the ones that pushed for inaction to become action, but your position is certainly understandable if you believe nothing but calm existed behind the scenes the entire time.
If that is the case, then then high-level folks are spoke with are bigger drama queens than any OB poster.
You aren't alone.I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I am trying my best to contain my enthusiasm - I'm downright giddy about the possibilities. It is sooooo much nicer when you are posting and reading and wondering what good things are in store for us, versus sitting in front of the computer depressed as hell with no answers to the questions about our program that are screaming in your head. Hook Em.
very wealthy nancies. It's easy to say that everything was always under control in retrospect, but it was the nancies who helped make sure that UT didn't mess up.
Can you share what some folks/officials behind the scenes are saying/feeling?You aren't alone.
Freakin exactly right! My in-laws (Alabama die hards) weren't interested in why I was glued to OB Thanksgiving night, freaking out with everyone else while I simultaneously enjoyed watching aggy's dismantling, but man what a stressful night! Thanks for your staff's comittment and hard work! I believe better days for Longhorn Football lie a head. Go get 'em Tom! Hook 'em!Can't imagine how exhausted you guys are. Hell I'm exhausted just being on OB all weekend.
And Phil Dawson before that."… Ho-hum, Justin Tucker. 4 for 4 with makes of 52, 57, 54 and 36 yards. Again, ho-hum."
Not to mention he drilled another 54 yarder immediately after getting "iced". He and Bailey are on another level.
I hope he stays in college. I have seen a lot of great running back in my day, and I think he is in the top 3 best I have ever seen. As far as I am concerned, he is a Heisman Trophy winner.
Couldn't agree with you more. Need "our boys" to stay home, and get us back as a top tier program...Amen on this bamahorn1. I can tell that Tom Herman is in your head. Fair point.not a tom of teams worth ranking in the top 10.
No one has emerged from the all-weekend rage of a Toga party. Can you share what some folks/officials behind the scenes are saying/feeling?
sometimes it can just be as simple as that.We do not need to go to a bowl game. Number 1 we do not deserve it, number 2 we would not be prepared. Just let the dust settle.
He's gone IMO.I hope he stays in college. I have seen a lot of great running back in my day, and I think he is in the top 3 best I have ever seen. As far as I am concerned, he is a Heisman Trophy winner.
As I'm in yours.I can tell that Tom Herman is in your head. Fair point.

That one might take some time. Taking from other programs doesn't come without a few hurdles.Latest on Brewster?
I think he will come, but assistant coaches usually don't up and move that quickly. It's not even December yet. This staff probably won't be fully complete for a few more weeks and what Houston decides at HC will impact that as well. That one might take some time. Taking from other programs doesn't come without a few hurdles.

I think Meachum is the guy to get IMO. Ultimately, look for someone that has some sort of connection to Herman.Ketch,
Any reason to not go back after Cumbie for OC? It seemed like stability was the concern last time, and clearly for good reason.
Patience. Guys don't just leave FSU in the dark before the dead period.
Agreed. There's no sense in refreshing the page every 5 minutes right now. The coaching staff likely won't be fully assembled for a few more weeks when teams get done with their bowl games, and often coaches don't leave until after signing day.Patience. Guys don't just leave FSU in the dark before the dead period.
I agree. I'm just excited about the possibility like everyone else. Brewster would be a home run hire. I'm curious if he were brought on board, would he be able to carry over some of his Florida connections he has developed. I assume he has built up more connections in the Southeast that he could combine with his old Texas ones. One thing I loved about Charlie was his ability and inclination to go outside of Texas for bit time recruits.Patience. Guys don't just leave FSU in the dark before the dead period.
The longer this goes, the better the choices become IMO.Agreed. There's no sense in refreshing the page every 5 minutes right now. Tom Herman is coach at Texas. That's the biggest fish in the boat right now.
Something Herman is keenly aware of I imagine. The longer this goes, the better the choices become IMO.
Without question. Four or five is enough for now.Something Herman is keenly aware of I imagine.
