Ketch's 10 Thoughts From the Weekend (40 Qs for Art Briles at Media Day)

Feel free to DM me any issues. I did have this proofed before posting.
Only trying to be constructive on a few aspects of the writing piece. The content is outstanding. And, it will be quoted in and on many outlets in the coming week. That was my only point.

BUY or SELL: The 2017 class will be smaller than the 2016 which was 24?

(Buy) If this team has a good season, the coaches are going to want to take as many big-time kids as they can. There’s no reason to think they can’t take 25.
Your response does not seem to match. The question is whether you expect a SMALLER class. You give it a "BUY", so you expect less than 24, then you proceed to say we could take 25. I take it the response should be "SELL",... or you don't think the team is going to have a good season.

Inspiration for others. There shouldn't be a single football question and if anyone asks one, they should be publicly shamed.
Like I said, I think Briles, Starr and the entire Baylor Administration deserve serious questioning. But you know you're not going to get 40+ questions at Media Days, you know it, I know it and everyone knows it. But putting that many questions up like that when you have a captive audience that checks in every week to check in on Texas football is more than indulgent. I will be in Dallas for Media Days and I will prepare for the barrage. Until then, can we talk more about Texas Sports?

Ketch, if these are indeed some questions you intend to ask, I think it would be better if you kept the series of questions under wraps from the public, to not allow Briles and Co to prepare answers for these certain questions.

Never know when the Baylor moles are watching, but then again maybe I'm overthinking it and being to cautious.

Don't Hager and Fowler also fit into the tweener category?

Also, I have been to Rio more than 20 times and I was astonished the Olympics were awarded to such a corrupt and disfunctional third world country. That money being spent is desperately needed to reduce their rampant poverty and clean up that filthy city.

Keep up the Baylor pressure, I learned new stuff and more seems to be coming out. THIS IS FOOTBALL. Important stuff! If Baylor succeeds sweeping it under the rug it will spread and I have no interest in college football if that becomes the standard. I have my dignity to maintain.

Briles will have to ask for "football questions" and will then walk off stage after no one has any "football questions" for him. That will be the signal for the BOR to end it all and fire Briles and Starr.

I'm no Ketch fanboy but I appreciate him not letting the Baylor story die by moving on. Yes, I realize that other outlets are in on it now but I honestly believe that OB really kept this active and am proud of the fight to get some sort of retribution for these young women.

We will all get back to college football soon enough, but we should never forget how lucky we are to have a coach that would never allow such a thing to happen, when not that long ago several of us wanted Briles as our coach. Obviously, none of us knew the kind of douche he really is, but our selection committee did their job well in eliminating this cancer from the process.

Good content, however, the editing absolutely needs improvement. Constructive criticism is your friend, especially when your site is on the forefront of this Baylor issue. Make the work as pristine as possible. It will only enhance your credibility.

I edited it so blame any oversights on me.

No you are right. I strongly think we do have Baylor folks who do watch everything that is said about them just as much as the Ags do about us.

And you also know that Briles WILL be briefed to expect those non-football questions-the issue is HOW he handles that pressure coming from the media. That will be the key.

He will say he has been instructed, warned, and even admonished by administration not to answer any non "football questions".

I for one do not mind the Baylor story being front & center particularly in the off season with media days coming up. I have daughters (one a Baylor grad) and granddaughters so this is an relevant story to me. It is important that this story continue to gain legs and the right people held accountable so it becomes a lesson for everyone else in these situations. I like the previous poster who likened it to the PSU situation and we see what happens when sins are covered up.

Great read guys, keep up the good work! With any luck Baylor and everyone involved burns to the ground. As always Hook'em!

I feel like question #15 is a very important one.....If the Baylor staff has in any way tried to bully or bribe any victims into not pressing charges or feeling like something bad could happen to them if they did just so kids could keep playing football then Baylor is going to be taken apart over that.

Hell"s yeah on the death of the BIG 12!!!! I don't think it takes until 2024.....By 2019-2020 we will know our future.

People in the US don't seem to understand how big of a problem Zika is. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

As for Baylor, they will drag their feet as long as they can to take any action. This is a place where dancing wasn't approved on campus until 1996. You have to force these people kicking and screaming.

I expect Briles to say "i can't speak about that at this time...next question"

FWIW, I think it's pretty unfair to somehow put Roberson in the washout category given he actually showed some flash as a REDSHIRT FROSH and I think it's clear that his future career is very much in doubt not because of being a "tweener" but d/t the concussion he has working.

Yup, my bad.
