Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend ("Don't forget about Maalik")

If iron sharpens iron, the Texas quarterback room should be able to cut through pretty much anything once the dust clears from the Quinn vs. Maalik vs. Arch battle that will take place in the coming months. At the end of it, there might be room for only one winner, but all three players will be given their chance.
The last two seasons have epitomized the old maxim that the most popular guy on the team is the backup QB. If we thought Simms vs Applewhite, Thompson vs Card, or Ewers vs Card were bad, what is the trio of Ewers vs Maalik vs Manning going to produce in terms of second guessing regarding the starting QB? Let’s hope for our sake someone steps up and clearly separates. Otherwise a good chunk of our fun base is going to be arguing about the QBs after every missed pass and sack. That will get old quick.

... Not sure I would have believed a year ago that Brock Purdy would play as well as he did as a starting quarterback in the NFL. You just never know ..

OB heads already exploding because of Jalen Hurts being an MVP candidate. Not sure OB doesn’t completely melt if Purdy develops into a solid NFL QB

Now, if you can take those two children fighting on the Looch thread and put them in diapers with binky’s, placed in play pen to finish this dispute we would appreciate it. It’s absolutely ridiculous those two.

US soccer needs better coaching. They underwhelmed even in the loss to the Dutch, and looked pedestrian against Wales and Iran. Your point on Morocco and we have fared well against England is just something that sets the program back until next World Cup.

As it relates to MM, what has he looked like during the season? Even if the bowl game is close, why not play MM just cause? The game really doesn’t matter much. Let’s see him out there for a few series.

a. Gotta be able to put the ball in the back of the net. We struggle to do so.

b. He's improved throughout the season.

Torre Becton, the S&C staff and the training staff deserve a shout out for keeping the big guys on the OL and DL in relatively good health all season.
sometimes luck is on your side, too.

LOL at your Die Hard comments @Ketchum . It is absolutely a Christmas movie with a Christmas message. A message of redemption with John and his family, and Al with his past (shooting the kid).

It just takes some murder and a terrorist falling 30 strokes, but it gets you there.

If you don’t choke up when Al blasts Karl at the end, you have no heart.

It's the battle for all-time!

Not a chance in hell will Sark make such a move
If based on the entire season, I agree. If I base it off things I've heard over the last few weeks, you might be surprised.

All Ewers has to do is be standing at the end of spring to maintain the job.
I'm not so sure, but that's certainly a strong possibility.

I think the slack is short, though, once the season starts,.
