Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Ketchstradamus makes his return!)

You had me at J’Tavian Sanders then lost me
once you you said not one word about him other then his name and a one line sentence.Did I miss something? Otherwise spare us the time and sorry but this is a 5 star we should be getting our hopes on
I think he'll show progress, but enough to stop the anxiety.

Ketch - Most likely tomorrow night KD passes Jerry West on the all-time NBA scoring list (#22).

I think it's expected that he is starting opposite Jamison from the first drill on beginning Tuesday, with Barron at Star. I think the only real starting battle is Thompson vs Coffee at the safety spot not manned by Cook.
Could be. We'll see.

I’m not sold on Chet Holmgren either. He has bust written all over him
I actually think his basement isn't that big because of his ability to shoot. I just wonder about his ceiling.

He could be a great No.3 on a really good team.

@Ketchum I surprised you were skeptical about Brooks. The way he leans and slashes he reminds me so much of Jamaal Charles. I don’t think Sark will be able to keep him off the field this year. Not saying he’s getting 10 touches a game, but he’ll get some.
I’ve been critical of this BB team, but I’ll admit they play and fight their guts out. Just didn’t have the bodies they needed tonight. Off-season additions will be interesting to watch.

I don't really disagree.
This team was top 5 and a trendy final four pick when the season started. Either Beard did a poor job evaluating the transfer talent or a poor job putting them together.

Meanwhile Iowa State is in the Sweet 16 - after going 2-22 and 0-18 in conference last year. TCU was 12-14 last year. They are in OT for the Sweet 16.

This isnt a successful season unless you are treating Beard like he’s Shaka Smart.

The area he's from doesn't churn out high level players very often.

Or not Shaka Smart.

Jones, Angilou and Majors are day 1 starters with the other two spots being up for grabs, IMHO. Surprised to see Cam Williams listed at Guard.
It will be fun to see who takes those two spots in Fall camp and who starts competing at Center.

Think people are being harsh on this first season of beard basketball.

in the end they barely lost to a likely final four bound team with one of the best PGs in the country and balling centers.

I was going to disagree with your buy until I read you said “baby buy”, but even then, this team had a blah season (with horrible offense) for the transfers he brought him.
One and done after all the “March” comments he made doesn’t seem good enough.
Wait, winning your first round game is now called “one and done”? What is losing in the first round called, “zero and done”?

My bad, but pretty sure you know what I meant.
Actually, I thought maybe you didn’t realize that we won our first round game, which is the first time in eight years that has happened. I think it’s an improvement.

Iowa State was 2-22 last year and is now in the Sweet 16. That’s what real improvement looks like.
Thanks. I bet they would welcome you on their bandwagon. But then again, if you stopped being a Texas fan, we’d be down the most negative, insufferable fan we have, so that’s a tough one! But I think I could live without your miserable outlook.

You’re overestimating the Texans management outside of Caserio if you think they might be better than the Cowboys… or the
64 Mets or the Bad News Bears.

And how many lottery picks are on this team?
It was a great season but got beat by a better team.

From the. bottom of my heart, gfy.

This is a definitely a Top Ten post by Ketch. In fact, it is in the mix for #1 along with the Mississippi thing.

Behold a true multi-layered symphony of awesome, capped off with a mind-bending word picture of how the “fy” part could be literally wished from the bottom of one’s heart.

Bravo, Ketch! I am on the throne and about to put my bidet to use, yet find myself slow clapping like Charles S. Dutton at the end of Rudy in appreciation of the pure genius on display.

Harsh?

If you watch Power of the Dog and your takeaway is “that was a good movie” then you’re a fu*king moron.

To say that the movie sucked would be a compliment.
That's a bit much. I didn't enjoy the movie, but it does have some quality stuff inside of it.

I didn't say better than the Cowboys.
