Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (Time for Sark to do what others have)

A great head coach can fix that stuff quickly. Texas just hasn't hired one of those.
No they haven't--and the question is why? We talk ad nauseam about head coaches-particularly here at Texas because we keep hiring the wrong guys. What about those above Sarkesian (AD, Board of Regents, Big doners?) What's going on there? Something is happening at that level that's not working. It's been happening for years.

Whoever hires at UT (I don't think it's the AD--he may have input, but others hire the football coach) has hired 2 bad coaches in a row that were fired, and we're working on a third straight. I really hope Sark works out, but he's showing signs of not working. And he's already in his third year.

Unfortunately, I think there is a different hiring process when they hire a football coach than when they hire the other coaches. And this process has not been successful overall.
I think until that gets fixed, we're going to keep going through this painful process of hiring and firing football coaches.

Totally agree with you on the QBs. Their skill guys this wear were kind of meh as well.
Losing Petrie on defense was a bigger deal than we imagined when he left.

Now we KNOW.

Some times it comes down to timing.

Also, look at what Texas spent on Sark and look at what LSU spent to get Brian Kelly from Notre Dame.

For all of the discussion among Texas fans about the need to upgrade at the center position from two-year starter Jake Majors, it turns out that he's probably the best offensive lineman from the entire state of Texas from his class.
You're saying Herm managed to pulled the best Olineman out of the class?

Ironically, yes. 🤣

It wasn't a great year coming out, though. The best is a mid four star.
Not trying to hear that. This confirms Herm was a beast at evaluating OL -playing chess with these cats. 🤣

You touch on something important here. It became really obvious after a few games that the deep passes designed for Worthy were a waste of time for numerous reasons. Yet, they kept being called over and over and over

Maybe use him differently if you're sark.
He just struggled adjusting to some of those and Ewers throws the high arching ones a lot. You wonder what the heck Sark was thinking but heck I thought that numerous times this year!:)

Everything, Everywhere All at Once…I don’t get it, I tried to watch and just couldn’t…nor could my son…
It SUCKED. Great acting but everything beyond that was just dumb. Stupid plot. Humor that really wasn’t that funny. I like silly humor and there wasnt any in the movie. It was just dumb.

I think you're way wrong. It was sensational.

It was a bad night.
I am posting here because I am unable to read anything, or to post anything, on the Inside the 40 Acres Forum.

I have tried a dozen times to pay the annual renewal fee, and it continuously tells me that that some sort of error is occurring.

What needs to be done?

Best Movie

1. Everything, Everywhere All at Once
2. Top Gun: Maverick
3. Tar
4. The Banshees of Inisherin
5. Babylon
6. The Fabelmans
7. Nope
8. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
9. Elvis
I have only seen your number 1, 2, 6 and 9. I have number 4 recorded on the DVR. I hated Everything, Everywhere All at Once, loved Top Gun: Maverick, thought the Fabelmans was pretty good, but expected more and Elvis was pretty good.

If my sister likes a movie, I will most likely hate it and vice versa. I am unsure whether to put you in with her movie recomendations since your picks are a mixed bag.
