Please stop using the word "officially"

I have seen this word totally abused by writers and reporters to lend an extra ounce of perceived credibility to their note.

For e.g.
Baylor is officially out of consideration for PlayerX
PlayerY has officially de-committed from Georgia

There is absolutely nothing official about the hiring and recruiting process other than signing the LOI and statements released by the school OFFICIALS.

From now, the abuse of the word "officially" is officially banned
