Looking good for us but blowu has won the series against tcu and tcu is winning game 3 so it will give blowu their first lose in conference which puts us two games back.
Welp lost that one. That last pitcher for atm should be the poster child for all aggies. Very strange! Very strange indeed!
The Decatur kid Bryce Elder messed it up 2-0 count with 2 outs! the batter kept battling he could of thrown 2 balls to try to make him chase but no cost us the game the batter won. We fought back to get runs and didn't give up the fight. I swear aggy fans are the worse. They will go back and look back at this game and find the mistakes we even out hit aggy.
Their shortstop made the play of the game. I believe it was the 7th or 8th maybe when a ball is hit up the middle scoring one run. He could have given up on the play and let the 2nd run score, but instead made a heck of play to get to the ball and then almost made a spectacular play (if it weren't for the 3rd baseman whiffing on the tag) by throwing behind the runner at 3rd. That would have changed the complexion of that game in a hurry.
I was almost pulling for that guy. Thought that weirdo was going to have mental breakdown on the mound. The announcer made me laugh talking about him, "There's a lot going on there..."
Yeah, it was a good game and I think we actually out played them, except for our starting pitcher being nervous. You could tell the game was too big for him and he was nervous, especially when their crowd was getting loud. Home field advantage won that game.
The aggy relief pitcher last night reminded me of late Mark "The Bird" Fidrych who pitched for the Detroit Tigers in the 70's. He would talk to the baseball between pitches and was very colorful.
Texas takes game 1 in Norman 7-6.. Good start to a big weekend.

They’re just always searching for a story line. It’s just soooooo interesting that a member of the football team is also a member of the baseball team.

We looked like poop today, and these kids need to figure out how to step on a teams neck when you have them down. If they can do that-- we've got a chance to be a good team.

Seriously, I'm just glad to see OU Baseball start to turn itself around. We were horrible under Hughes. Would love to see us back to the type of teams we had under Golloway.
So far Pierce, the coach that was not all that wanted, has been a greater find than Herman and certainly Shaka. I think Herman will get it rolling this year, not so sure on Shaka.

Frustrating that we can win series against the likes of OU and OSU, but can’t beat KSU or WV. Just too inconsistent. Pitching doesn’t seem strong enough to really do anything special this year. Opposing hitters don’t have a lot of trouble squaring up the bat on what we are throwing.
Really disappointed losing this series to a 5 and 9 team in conference. Okie lite sits above us and we won that series, baseball is a funny game....
Texas takes two of three in Lubbock this weekend. Big-time series win on the road, and definitely helps our case for hosting a regional.

Man I dont understand the guys on the TV were like tech and someone else was guaranteed to host a regional I was like what the heck we are number 2 in the conference why wouldn't we host.
I think it will come down to either us or aggy. They need another host for this part of the region. I think whichever doesn’t host will be the 2 seed in that regional. Either way I think Texas and aggy will be in the same regional, I’d much rather play them at home this time.
