RB Cedrick Baxter - 8/10 commitment

Edge Derion Gullette - prior to season***

Edge Braylon Shelby.- prior to season

Edge Colton Vasek - prior to season

Vasek favoring OU is damn embarassing for us! Dad was a UT player and grew up in Austin. No way a kid like that should escape UT.

PK ain't going to make it through this season. He hasn't recruited the DL and LB positions very well. Quite poorly actually. He better coach our guys up if he wants to have any chance of sticking around after this season.
Still a lot of time left before signing day, not sure Vasek goes to OU in the end, we'll see

Hey aggy, grown folks is talking here. Go sit at that lil table and wait til you’re called.
This is with a 3 start punter...who is the best punter in the nation, but punters don't get stars. Texas comes in at 15th. When fishing for bigger fish it just takes longer to catch sometimes. There will be some more news today and tomorrow. The SEC is fixing to be so much fun in a few years.

2023 average recruit rating (per@247Sports)
1. Alabama (94.89)
2. Texas A&M (93.54)
3. Ohio State (93.42)
5. ND (93.31)
5. Georgia (93.05)
6. Clemson (92.4)
7. Miami (92.32)
8. Oregon (92.02)
9. USC (91.98)
10. Penn State (91.83)

Ok, let's play the game. Your class was #1 last year. Great and good for you. Ours was #5, overall very good. Our transfer class was top 10, again another fine outcome. This year, your class is 46? Ours is again #5. Let's do some maffs. It would seem that steady consistent wins more prizes than great outliers. Your average for the last 2 seasons is 24 and ours is 5. The last time I checked, overall depth is a yuge consideration in football. I'll take our numbers and success at the moment.

Now as Metcalf said, sit down and shut up til you are called upon. We'll be beating you in your stadium soon so keep your panties on.

Hopefully, he can help A&M win a conference championship. It's been since 1998. Come to think of it, that 100 year anniversary is coming up. I bet they put out a commemorative cup for that one. One side, a corp turd yelling in a megaphone, and the other side will be a German tank rolling into Poland.
😂 I have no idea what you meant yet I can't stop laughing.

Well, that would work except for this...last year is inked and done. This year we are not done. Texas got some Arch hype and got a little more aggressive with NIL. A&M had their big recruiting event which blew the doors off the Texas pool party as far as the number of high caliber kids that were on campus. Stacking classes is 100% true and depth is key, so a quick glance shows me this:

2022: A&M ranked #1 class with a 95 avg recruit ranking. Texas had the #5 class with an avg of 91.17 which was lower than ND, OU, UNC, LSU and Miami. Texas just had 28 takes but maybe not as highly recruited players

2021: A&M finished with the 8th ranked class with an average of 91.70. Texas finished with the 15th ranked class with an avg of 89.

2020: A&M finished with the 6th ranked class with an avg of 91.11 and Texas finished 8th with an avg of 91.76.

In 2023 so far Texas is sitting at 5th in class rankings and avg ranking of 91.82 which sits 15th. A&M is currently sitting at 41st with an avg recruit ranking of 93.54 which is second...take away the punter and we are number 1. I feel VERY strongly that we will finish with a top 5-8 class this year with a 21-23 member class. Pretty sure we are currently "sitting" at that table

As I've said before, Texas and Texas A&M are more than satisfied with their classes the last 2 years. It will be the same this year. Go ahead and throw OU in there.

What is funny to me is that I hardly see Clemson, Bama, Georgia fans dick measuring their classes. They know other teams they compete against will have top classes. It's about development and culture.

Why are you here? Go celebrate your Blitzkrieg title from 1939. You haven't won a conference title since 1998 but keep that payroll moving. It's all you got.

I'm confused as to why Vegetables would tell recruits not to commit to OU. What is going on with that?
He said don't commit to OU until you are absolutely sure you want to go there. In other words, take all of your other visits before committing to OU. If you commit to OU and then want to take visits and look around, OU will assume you're not committed and will look around for your replacement is what he's saying. That's exactly what happened with Caleb Williams and Williams dad got all butthurt about it. But if you think about it OU was spot on for pulling the rug out from Williams once he started looking around, he would have left Venables high and dry and he knew it.

I agree that if a player is committed to a given school and still taking visits to other schools, that is a red flag and sends a message that they're not 100% committed.

Maybe they'll make it past the Poulan Weedeater Bowl for once.

Guillette left aggy land without committing, which is a good sign. He announces Aug 5th.

Colton Vasek announcing tomorrow at 3pm. Appears to be blowu. Amazingright out of our back yard.

Eh, it happens. Same thing when we took Casey Thompson.

Gullette to Texas
Hell ya!! That’s a huge pick up for us! He’s a hybrid edge/LB guy. I bet he plays more LB. He was also an all state WR so he’s a great athlete. This is probably the biggest pick up outside of Arch just because the dire need of LBs on this team.

Big time CB Jordan Matthews- August 15.

That puts us at 289 and change with 23 commits.

Hale, Toviano should be Horns too.

There is another monster Tackle in LA I heard is now on our board. Another low 4* but huge. Would be a very good get.

Who else is a target this fall?

You talking about Zalance Heard? I thought we were ruled out for him, and that we were done on the OL. Dude is a monster though, we sure wouldn’t turn him down.
