Texas Recruiting

WR is about the one position i'm not really sweating losing a guy like Hale. We still have Niblett and Cook who are both top 75 overall players in the 23 class.
Yep, and Neyor will be back, I’m still expecting good things for O’meire, and Agiye Hall can be big time if he ever removes his head from his ass. Also wouldn’t rule out Whittington for one more year, no matter what he said, but even without him we’re in great shape.

Man, I don't mean to dog the kid, but I've way much better RB's over the years scouting HS players. He looks good, and I'm glad that he's coming to Texas, but he's not elite. He's not even close to Benson, Charles, Ricky or Earl's caliber of player based on that film.
To be fair...there aren't many backs of that caliber. Texas had a ridiculous run on running backs with Ricky, Benson, Jamaal and going way back to Earl. Hell, Robinson isn't even in that class.

Earl
JamJones
Clark
Norris
Metcalf
Shon
Priest
Ricky
Hodges (maybe one of the most underrated Longhorns of all time)
Ced
Jamaal
Brown
Foreman
Bijan

That is as far back as I can go. Clark was a stretch, but had longevity...same with Norris. Shon was damn good, but got passed by an all timer. Hodges Mitchell is the most underrated Horn ever IMO, or at least the ones I have watched. Malcolm Brown was also a stretch, but he did get some NFL time.

Neyor

Thompson
Cain
Hall
Niblett
Cook
Red
Wilson

And the transfer portal

Hale is a damn good one though
In order of how they are listed.

Number 1 and 3 may never play because of injuries.

Worthy is Worthy no problem there. Think of Tyquan Thornton with more speed.

Number 4 is a freshman.

But how about number 5 Casey Cain? We need to talk more about him. He plays with a chip on his shoulder and if you read his back story you'd know why. This kid has caught everything thrown to him has even started a game.

I'm for Casey Cain and we're going to make everyone look bad for not recruiting him.

The rest won't get any meaningful playing time this year maybe next year.

Btw his New Orleans buddy Barryn Sorrell is playing well to. Dyk they both wear 88?

Metcalf came along at the wrong time. Can you imagine him running the read option with Vince or Colt? Jeeeeesus we score 80 a game, and he wins all the Heismans. Not even kidding.

Hodges Mitchell had the unenviable task of replacing Ricky. But he played great his senior year was voted MVP by his teammates.

There was talk that he might play in the NFL. But in his last game he tore up his knee in the HB and he never played again. Sorry about that I hope he's doing well.

I go back to Chris Gilbert. He was Lebanese, made several 80 yd TDs. Opponents would all be on LOS, once clear, all the way.

Just listing the possible depth chart my man.

Don't sleep on Savion Red. He does what many guys don't want to...block

And Johntay Cook will play early

Well this is not good. Anyone know why he decommitted? I thought he was trying to recruit others to Texas.

The house on the market was a thing after all. Look out below!

Johntay Cook is still listed as a Texas commit in 247 and couldn’t find any other info about him decommitting. Did he decommit or not lol!!
