Any bold predictions or score predictions.
Post em here..

My bold prediction Ewers Throws for 4 TDs ..while also commiting two costly turnovers to cost the game. Sad but we know growing pains will happen this year and this is definitely a game where it will happen.

Score...

45 Bama
31 Texas

I think this is a pretty realistic prediction. Texas probably keeps up with bama for two quarters, and then bama pulls away after the half.

My prediction: Bijan goes off for 150-200+ yards with a few highlight Heisman-esque runs. He then becomes one of the Heisman front runners early in the season, and the media starts hyping him up even more.

So far, Bijan has not lived up to the hype. He is nowhere near as hard a runner as Ricky Williams or even D'Onta Foreman. Dude needs to step up.

They will stack the box to force us to throw. We will have to throw to open up the run game. We need to run play clock down to 5 seconds every play to shorten the game . Dink and dunk quick passes to avoid their pass rush. Play turnover free ball and few penalties as well as force a few turnovers. Blitz Young like the Aggies did last year or he will pick us apart .

Satan's boys - 52
Young inexperienced Horns - 17

I feel our D will be on the field too long because of sustained drives and turnovers due to inexperience. We'll be gassed in the 2nd & 4th qtrs. Growing pains this game allows us to obliterate a good UTSA team out of frustration.

I think it will be somewhere a long tge oijes of 45-20 I think we keep it close for awhile but run out of gas.

UGA bear a ranked team 49-3 last week, so keep it closer than that and it will open some eyes.

35-31 texas. The partying that begins on Wednesday night will carry over into Saturday. The drunk and hostile crowd will be the added edge to carry Texas to victory.

Outside of Bama's QB and defensive line they are breaking in a lot of new players. We might be able to keep this closer than some might think. Their offensive line and secondary is very inexperienced.

I am not confident in my prediction, but there is somewhat of a set up for Texas to pull out a win. In addition to what you said, we really don’t know what we have other than it is better than last year. Look at our DL and LB. Is it Patterson or simply another year in the system? I don’t know, but they are better. They could be a lot better or just a little- we won’t know until the season unfolds. Our OL looks a little improved Our skill positions are as good or better than theirs. Most will depend on Quinn being patient and making good decisions

Like your style Nueces! Not much would make me happier than defeating the #1 team that's being reported as the best in the Saban era. Could be hyperbolic but who knows for sure.

I've been hurt by our burnt orange boys for too long to be overly optimistic. Please, PLEASE serve me some steaming hot crow. It is bird season after all.

Side note: I put the new Weatherby Element SA 12g through the ringer this weekend and was very surprised at the performance. For $600, it chewed through light target & dove loads like the cookie monster without a single failure to feed. It is inertia like Benelli but a quarter of the jingle.

I thought this was an interesting stat from Bama's game against Utah State last week.

UTAH State was 8/22 for 57 yards. 40% of receiving yards came on a 23 yard reception. If you take that out they were averaging 4.8 yards per completion. I didn't watch the game by my guess is lots of quick passes or throwing the ball away. No time for the pass rush to get there.

I sure hope we have RPO nailed down by Saturday morning.

I can’t remember, but did Quinn take a sack? I only remember Card getting sacked twice. Not that our OL pass blocked great, but moreso that he got rid of the ball.

I'm going to say that I like Sark's body language during the presser this week. Not saying we win, but I feel like he knows we will go out there and give them a game.

Utah State doesn't have any players the caliber of Bijan, Worthy, or Sanders either though. Can't just look at the box score and expect to get any context out of it. I watched most of the game the other day when I had some time and Utah State's QB was not very good at all. Neither were their receivers. That's how we are going to have to play though. Going to have to get the ball out quickly.

He got sacked once. That one was on the offensive line though. Other than that he had a clean pocket pretty much all game. Once the 2nd string line got in there is when it all went to shit.

RT scares me the most in the pass game.
C scares me the most in the run game.

I think we will see a lot more of Ewers getting the ball to the flat quickly to guys like X, KRob, Omeire, etc. De facto run plays.

If those guys can make plays on the edge and beat guys 1v1, then it will open up the intermediate pass game and will open the flood gates for Bijan to go to work.

Our guys on the outside will have to win their 1v1 situations breaking tackles for the middle to open up for Whitt and Sanders. That will then open up lanes for RoJo and Biajn.

Just my opinion.

Well, I've lived the scenario laid out above.

B12 championship vs Nebraska
NT game vs USC
Sugar Bowl vs Jawja

I've seen Texas underachieve alot but there are other times when UT Austin gets a burr in it's ass and nothing can stop the teams and/or students. This feels like one of those times. We aren't getting blown out. If we do, Sark is in trouble.

Edit: If Sark gets blown out and we don't make the b12 title game, our next HC may be Traylor at UTSA.

Watching the game again, we definitely look much improved over last year. I get that Bama didn't play anyone with a pulse but honestly neither did we. I'm hyped up but with low expectations.
Even if we get bowled over, no other team will be as talented the rest of the season.

This game doesn't effect Sark's job security. We could lose this game by 35 points and still go onto to play for a conference championship. Bama is a well oiled machine. If we can hang with them then it says a lot about where we are headed as a team.

We don't have the depth yet to hang with Bama for 4 quarters. If we can be competitive in the 1st half that would be a good sign. Sark is recruiting well at the moment and the depth will come as long as we don't get crazy and fire him after two years. That would undo whatever gains he made.

Here's the deal, I've read all the scouting reports, talked to all the coaches. Texas has alot of talent at the skill positions. That offensive line? Not sure yet? That question will be answered within the first drive or 2 against Bama. Bama will obviously want to try to shut down the run and then come after Ewers with blitzes etc. mixing up their coverages between zone and man. The first series or 2 both teams will be smelling each others buttholes. Ewers needs to make it well known early and often he's not in to that. If Anderson comes in for a sniff, he's needs to fart in his face and run like hell and throw it deep for one of your fast receivers. If Texas can get Bama on their heels by going over the top, you could pull the upset but I am concerned about Ewers scrambling ability? Here's a little primer on Saban D.

I said, if we get blown out and don't make the b12 championship game, then he is in trouble.
