That's a great breakdown. It seems like this one is going to be won or lost in the trenches. I like our chances.
After digging into ULL trends and stats, I've changed my mind a bit.
I still have us putting up 31 but dropping ULL to 17. Texas gets the W.
Their offensive strength plays directly into our defensive strenght....on paper. Their QB is the difference maker when he scrambles but his completion percentage drops to the upper 20s when he does. Like a poor mans sophomore VY but without the NFL line.
If we can stop the run enough to make them take to the air, we win decidedly. They are a surprisingly good team but don't match up well.

Last year because of covid a lot of teams over achieved and LA was one of them.
Because of covid everybody got mixed up. Teams didn't have the opportunity to practice together. It kept them from bonding and everything that goes with that.
That opened things up for teams like Coastal Carolina, BYU, and LA. And I'm not so sure ISU wasn't one of them. This deeply affected our team last year. We had a new coaching staff who didn't have the opportunity to teach our players their system. The 2020 horns were the team that could have. We had the talent but there was to many distractions. That won't happen this year. And if Bijan Robinson plays like the superstar he is this game should not be close.
