Why keep Coleman???

If Coleman was Sark's first choice as the WR coach, there probably would have been some tweet last week like the one Drayton tweeted confirming he was being retained. Instead, we hear all these rumors about Wiggins, Simmons, Martin, etc.; then, we unexpectedly start hearing that Coleman is being retained as the WR coach. Guess Sark couldn't reel in anyone better.

Went from Homon Wiggins/Dennis Simmons/Keary Colbert back to Andre Coleman... Yikes. And I'm not hating on the dude. Seems like a nice guy and a good coach but like @Ketchum said he's never won a major recruiting battle. I'm starting to get a little concerned on who's going to be the BIG recruiter on the offensive side of the ball with Jeff Banks most likely staying put. Doesn't look very promising right now.

He seems like a nice guy that works hard, but damn, we've had plenty of guys like this.

He isn't a difference maker by any means in recruiting.

He is like the Oscar Giles of offense
My initial thought is because Sark wants him...

Just read this thread. I think it is time to start a 2023 coaching change board. And here I was all excited about Sark only to learn on the OBs we are doomed. Crap

What did Coleman do to you?

Why are you sensitive about it? I said he’s a hard worker and a nice coach to have. So was Hagen, Valai, Ash, Hutzler, Yurcich etc.

Sark was hired to make Texas like Alabama and to do that, we need as close to an all-star coaching staff as possible.

How do you know that’s in Coleman and not Sark?
As I said in the other thread and also a couple of pages back on this one WR's aren't lining up to play for Oklahoma because of WR's coach Dennis Simmons, they aren't committing to Alabama to play for Holoman Wiggins. They are lining up to play in Riley and Sark's systems. Give me a solid coach like Coleman that current players like and trust and he will have 4/5 star WR recruits lining up to play here.

Quote from Winfield on Coleman.

“Coach Coleman is pumped in about Sark coming in and stuff," he told Horns247. "That's really who has been recruiting me the hardest. I'm perfect with coach Coleman. That's my dawg. It's just his resume. Everything he did. He's got four receivers balling in the NFL right now so that's what I look at."

This thread gets better and better.

You started the thread and I literally asked a question in response 😂 who’s the sensitive one here?

I posted this yesterday, and it rings true today as Coleman and Sark already have landed a recruit.

The saving grace/difference with Coleman is he’s now able to sell Sarks offense and scheme above himself and Herman dying on the vine.

Maybe Coleman was never the issue...

You don't need to worry about this. Sark will keep whoever he chooses to keep after careful evaluation. That's his job.

He obviously will not be rotating players so frequently. It will be interesting to see what our guys can do given more than a chance or two per game.

Lack of experience? There is data on how many three four and five stars he has signed

Texas has sucked for 10+ years, not sure you can put all that (signing of recruits) blame on him. Sark can recruit, maybe all Sark needs is someone who can teach and develop?
