I think even with Disu we still would have lost.

Yeah Shaka could always coach. He just went about team building the wrong way when he got to Texas mixed in with some bad luck and you get a situation that didn’t work out.
Shaka is a fraud! Again, with 3 minutes to go this year in the ncaa tournament against Michigan state, he used his timeout to do BREATHING EXERCISES! meanwhile izzo drew up some stuff to cut his well- breathing team up. It confirmed all that I suspected about that clown! Will wade coached one of his teams on a Cinderella run and he's been making money off that run ever since

As far as the “breathing exercises” you don’t know the context. He could have been in the huddle and said “hey fellas were playing tight everyone take a breath and relax” and the sideline reporter comes out and says Shaka was having them do breathing exercises”. Marquette was picked to finish last in the big East and they won the conference, so he can obviously coach. It just didn’t work out here for a lot of different reasons
Yeah the reason is the big12 is unforgiving and exposes frauds. And Shaka is a fraud. Again, his final four was because will wade was on his staff
We were at a coaching disadvantage every night in the big12. EVERY! NIGHT!
Coach Terry bringing former Texas assistant Frank Haith back to Austin to be on his staff. Never worked out for him as a HC really but a really good assistant to have on staff

Yeah I didn’t see that post my bad. I did however see the commercial for that the other night. Will definitely be seeing that. Looks interesting. Nike was not at all known for basketball shoes pre MJ
Not too terribly surprising with Morris here, the 5 star point guard coming in and I think Hunter probably comes back, or they get another guard out of the portal
Terry’s not off to a good start so far. Losing Morris is a huge loss. I was hoping he could take the reins next year. If Hunter doesn’t come back I’m not feeling that great about next season. Still early though.
There were rumblings about Morris leaving during the season., so not terribly surprising. Probably would have left no matter who the coach was.
Texas is a finalist for G Quincy Olivari' from Rice. If you remember he’s the guy that scored 28 in the game against us. He’s a player.
I also expect Hunter back. He’s a 2nd round pick at best based on the season he had. Probably UDFA

And you just came off an elite 8 appearance as a coach from a school that has alumni that could buy the entire Australian professional league with their loose couch change---- -- --- to lose a kid of that calibre, ya, that's a dick punch.
Career record prior to last year = .500. He had a fantastic year...with a roster created by Beard. He told us that Beard didn't do it by himself. Point taken - lets see what you can do RT. Losing two 5 stars in a week is not a good start.
Actually, it's two 4 stars from the roster, one five star from the roster, and one 5 star recruit. There isn't anything in the portal that can replace these guys.... Terry has done nothing in recruiting.
Probably going to get paid 1 million dollars in that league. Really can’t blame him. There's also rumblings that he was an academic risk. Plus his quote about ‘I don’t want to learn X’s and O’s, I play for feel’ makes me think he would not have developed well in a structured collegiate system.

Max Abmas is likely to announce very soon that he's transferring to Texas as a grad transfer. That's a big get. He's probably the best shooter and most prolific scorer in the nation. On the flip side, he's weak defensively so RT will have to get creative to hide his defensive issues. He's barely 5'10"
