Yes I'm liberal but I wish there was some way to remove the Kim family out of North Korea. I was watching a documentary about tyrants they were all overthrown and murdered except the Kim family with a nuclear bomb they have all the bases covered. Yeah man, i gotcha. I guess the frustrating point for most libertarian conservative types is that the left is very good with identity politics. Most normal people desire to belong somewhere so it is easy to accept being categorized and pitted against those outside of your groups.

The innocuous debate between the parties then was about a 35% or 34% individual tax rate; it was about having an social security retirement age of 62 or 65; it was about including or excluding prescription meds from Medicare. Honest, necessary and innocuous debate.

As I stated in an earlier post, this is now a toxic relationship we're in - left v right, elite ruling class v. everyone else. It's draining, it's tiring, it's irreversibly damaged. The chasm is just too wide. We have an open border and changing the definition of what a country is; we have real censorship where a former U.S. president is not permitted to communicate via Twitter but the Taliban is; we have fed govt policies designed to eliminate biological gender; we've eliminated energy independent positions, which we possessed. I could go on.

Preaching to the choir buddy. I like to believe most non-elites just dont know the untold facts. Media has buried too much for too long but unless you intentionally go looking for what you believe to not be true, how could you not believe what they tell you? That's why I made the comparison to the NK people. They believe that shit to their core.

All this Trump guy did was bypass the filters and expose our dirty little secrets to the masses. They finally censored him but not before millions started to question everything they've been force fed.

GF, that was very much a gentleman's response and I respect your restraint and energy. Hats off to you. I'm past being a gentleman. Allow me . . .

This is not like the Clinton and pre-Clinton eras. The innocuous debate between the parties then was about a 35% or 34% individual tax rate; it was about having an social security retirement age of 62 or 65; it was about including or excluding prescription meds from Medicare. Honest, necessary and innocuous debate.

As I stated in an earlier post, this is now a toxic relationship we're in - left v right, elite ruling class v. everyone else. It's draining, it's tiring, it's irreversibly damaged. The chasm is just too wide. We have an open border and changing the definition of what a country is; we have real censorship where a former U.S. president is not permitted to communicate via Twitter but the Taliban is; we have fed govt policies designed to eliminate biological gender; we've eliminated energy independent positions, which we possessed. I could go on.

It's toxic and I see it with clear eyes. No ill will, no resentment of the other side. But, I'm ready to draw up the divorce papers and move on. I will be just fine without my former partner.
