Yeah man, i gotcha. I guess the frustrating point for most libertarian conservative types is that the left is very good with identity politics. Most normal people desire to belong somewhere so it is easy to accept being categorized and pitted against those outside of your groups.

We realize those tactics are very effective but the real problem isn't fundamental disagreements with a neighbor, it's DC government elites vs us. WE are not their priority, left right whatever.

Alright guys, everyone please back off cali a bit. He doesn't need to experience here what we experience in most every other social & mainstream media outlet. I think he's a good dude that's respectfully defending what he truely believes to be true. You don't know what you don't know.

I think of him similarly to the people in N Korea. Due to censorship, propaganda, and methodical indoctrination, NK people swear we are evil to the core and their gov is the righteous saviours.
They are good people but they dont know what they don't know.
Their perspective only changes when they seek information from the "enemy" then eventually see truth for themselves. Being told the truth has no effect because it must be lies or conspiracy.

Maybe one day he'll come across a red pill moment and see all the lies we're fed daily from all sides of government, maybe not.

Honest, necessary and innocuous debate.

As I stated in an earlier post, this is now a toxic relationship we're in - left v right, elite ruling class v. everyone else. It's draining, it's tiring, it's irreversibly damaged. The chasm is just too wide. We have an open border and changing the definition of what a country is; we have real censorship where a former U.S. president is not permitted to communicate via Twitter but the Taliban is; we have fed govt policies designed to eliminate biological gender; we've eliminated energy independent positions, which we possessed. I could go on.

It's toxic and I see it with clear eyes. No ill will, no resentment of the other side. But, I'm ready to draw up the divorce papers and move on. I will be just fine without my former partner.

Never had seen that before and being voting absentee for over 30 years. Then I see a demonstration that if the ballot is inserted in the envelope with first page on the outside ( the yes recall, no don't) the yes/no circles match up perfectly with the envelope holes. So whoever gets that ballot will know before opening it how the vote went. Weird, no? So making sure the wife's ballot is put in backwards.

We gave then all these toys, M4s, M-16s, m249s, pistols, even some shoulder fired toys-- so they could hold off thevTaliban when we left. Problem was, the Afghan army's paychecks were bouncing. So commanders were simply stealing shit, driving it to the border and selling it to Iran.

Now when President Houseplant shit the bed, the Talibam saw their opportunity to capitalize-- and they did. Used to the Afghans could grab a radio and tell our guys what hut the bad guys were hiding in, and some drone pilot in Virginia would make it go boom. But here comes the Tali, and when Habeeb picks up the radio to squawk and all he gets back is static, he does a quick mental calculation. He adds up how many Tali he sees coming at him, subtracts the number of bombs that can't now be dropped on them cause there's nobody answering on the talk box, multiplies that by how many of his last pay checks bounced, and quickly decides that shedding the uniform and abandoning his $450,000 MRAP ain't a bad fvcking idea.
