Ketch's 10 Thoughts From The Weekend (A disaster followed by.... not sure)

I think we were mainly debating this topic in say a 1 - 3 year horizon as NIL and the Portal totally shake out. The debate being will/will not these big changes in CFB motivate Saban to retire earlier than reasonably necessitated by the natural effects of aging. And some of us saying - only if he loses the sizable competitive advantage he has created at Bama and starts losing a handful of games every years.

Otherwise, "Father Time" is likely to get him in the not to distant future - although he looks to be in pretty good shape for being 70.
He's in great shape for 70.

Xavion Alford transfer sucked thought he was going to be a good player and it was our biggest hole arguably last year. He was walking into a starting job for his hometown team, instead he leaves for a staff that was walking dead, and now he got a new one that doesn't know him and will replace him with a portal transfer quick.

That and the high end D line talent we got that year that hasn't really put it all together stands out. That group was more than just some mid 4 stars, 5 stars and high end 4 stars should be at minimum good starters or your best players.

It wasn't as high end as you remember.
