This is a SUPER subjective question.
Can you win a Championship with an average QB? Probably not.
Can you win a Championship with an average OL? Doubtful.
Can Texas win the Big 12 with an average QB? Bohanan's and Sander's QB ratings were both lower than Thompson's. Are you going to tell me both of those guys are elite QBs? There are 5 Big Ten QB's with better QBR's than McNamara, yet he's in the playoff.
But I'd be willing to bet Baylor, Ok St and Michigan all have better OL's than Texas.
Is he an early enrollee? Is this expected to be a quick flip or take some time?

Was he bailed our or was that team a reflection of its coach and that's why they kept them out.
Is the thought that GP would step into the DC position to replace PK? Or, maybe a co-DC with PK? What's your thought on this, since it didn't seem like he was too interested in an analyst position?
I think multiple options are on the table.
Maybe a bit of an outlier? And I don't know enough about the Cam Newtown team at Auburn, maybe their line wasn't great either and he just did the damn thing.
I'm not saying a guy with a cape at QB can't backpack his team to ship.
But I think a stud OL is more apt to bring a 5 star QB into the fold, than a 5 star QB is going to bring the OL.
I don't think Brady went to TB for the weather. I think he made them use a top draft pick on a left tackle and assemble a badass line before he went to play for them.

I'm just never going to stop believing that not having the quarterback position answered, which Texas currently doesn't, isn't the No.1 area of need.
It does not mean that the No.2 area of need is any less. This is like an ugly Miss America contest.
