Because he had a special year on a special team. What he did to elite receivers this year is almost unheard of.Real defensive MVP? Why?
I just saw The Revenant, and Tom Hardy will go from not even on your list, to number 1.est Supporting Actor (based on the movies I have actually seen)
1. Mark Rylance (Bridge of Spies)
2. Jacob Tremblay (Room)
3. Benicio del Toro (Sicario)
4. Christian Bale (The Big Short)
5. Sly Stallone (Creed)
Nice write up. I think you meant last RITES.
Are you including the other 13 previous commits with the 13 you're counting? That would add up to 26.I only see 13 recruits you listed as your picks how does he get top 10 with only those 13 ?
see section II. I literally wrote an entire section on that question.Hey Ketch when can we expect the commiments to start going down?
I've written about it numerous times. NUMEROUS. Use your subscription.I think subscriptions should entitle us to knowing what more of these "issues" were with previous coaches. Otherwise what is the point to paying?
Oops my badsee section II. I literally wrote an entire section on that question.![]()
That would give the class 12 four-star prospects and 14 three-star prospects. Very close to top 10.@Ketchum Where do you see the recruiting class ranked if it goes down the way you think it might...ballpark I mean?
Yup, there's a great re-telling of the story of how that went down in the History of the Eagles.Just FYI...lyrics for "Take It Easy" were written by Jackson Browne. Music by Jackson Browne (unfinished) and finished by Glen Frey.

Or maybe he understands the difference b/w recruits today and recruits 10 years ago. He is likely going to flip both Smith and Jackson, so what good did it do Sumlin to have them on board so early? To have to work just as hard to keep them? I think he gets a nucleus of guys he truly wants, then recruits like hell all the way to the end. We've got a big leg up on some 2017 recruits, but I think Coach Strong is still going to have 14-15, generally, going into the end of December, and then finish out his class just like he's done.Charlie's recruiting strategy of waiting till the last month to step up is hurting the overall ability of
the team to land a top class. IMO he could have had some of the same recruits earlier if
he had worked it sooner. Lack of a running back in this class is a mistake. No way we should have lost Whaley
to Arkie. Too many last minute decisions, hoping to flip recruits from other schools makes no sense.
"Out of Eden" should be on your Eagles list.
I hope you're right. Getting on recruits earlier vs later can only help not hurt .Being the first to offer puts you in goodOr maybe he understands the difference b/w recruits today and recruits 10 years ago. If Charlie can flip all of these guys and land a top 10'ish class who are we to even suggest what he does. Of course this is Orangebloods so my opinion is we need to get 1 or 2 war daddy 5 star guys on board early even if we have to fight to hang on to them for a year. Having a few nationally ranked studs on board should help set a foundation that opens the door to other 4 and 5 star players. Sure is a different world than the Mack days, high stakes poker for sure as if we miss on these kids and have a dud of a class all hell is going to break loose on the program.I hope you're right. Getting on recruits earlier vs later can only help not hurt .Being the first to offer puts you in good
position with most recruits, hence the positive vibes he has working for 2017. If Sumlin hadn't crapped the bed he would still
have both Smith and Jackson, our chance with them is more Aggy f'up than great UT recruiting accumen.
Right now everyone is hoping for a last minute miracle avalanche of recruits to salvage a weak class. No way to run
your recruiting IMO.
I have a feeling Strong finds a way to get in front of Fowler before NSD. That one looks better for Texas than you think. That would give the class 12 four-star prospects and 14 three-star prospects. Very close to top 10.
Wow, you just do not get it. 1) you cannot get everyone you target, 2) how can you question his recruiting strategy with the results from Florida, Louisville, last year and the epic finish he is putting together. 3) it's seems to me whatever Charlie does people like you are never satisfied. Get onboard and Believe or get off and find another Board and team. No, not really. Not if 4-0 in the Super Bowl isn't the only thing that matters.
