I wouldn't call the group at Baylor extremely talented either but they're in the middle of a 22-23 game winning streak and the #1 team in the country with less talent than what is currently in Austin.
I wouldn't call them extremely talented. That's a big part of the issue right now.
what makes you think they have less talent?
The recruiting class rankings each have brought in over the last 4-5 years and that Texas simply passed on quite a few of Baylor's top contributors (Butler, Vital, Clarke, Mayer, etc.)
I need to watch it again.
Legends is must-stop and watch stuff when it's on.
Legends of the Fall May be one of the worst movies ever made. Good lord.
Yeah, but dollars involved in this are quite different. Aston makes pennies compared to the nation's elite and if Texas wants elite, it's going to cost them beyond the scale of what they've previously been committed to.
No mention of the job he did with Roschon?
The best thing you can say: His year of work in 2019 was pretty damn good. In addition to landing a five-star out of state running back, he help turned a true freshman quarterback into a solid immediate contributor amid an injury crisis and the team climbed into the top 50 in terms of national running game numbers without leaning on its starting quarterback to carry a tremendous load.
I'm implying more women like Thelma and Louise.
we'll see. Aston is currently making pennies compared to her peers. That's one of the coaches I targeted before the season. Honestly, the salary isn't that big of a deal IMO.
For some reason, I thought she was making less. That's still not much. Aston makes about $800k. Even if you pay an elite HC $500+ more than that you are still only talking $3-$4 mil over 6 years. Not that big of a deal.
What's your hangup with Legends?Funny in that I'm exact opposite. Think I've made it through Legends once. Opposite for River.

Missed it, my mistake. Thanks!
Taco. Rent free. If I haven't told you lately and from the very bottom of my heart - GFYS. Seriously.

You do youLOL. Triggered early. Ironic response for someone claiming rent free status.
Tell you what, you have a wonderful day.
I think it would just be kicking the can down the road. So, if we give her a two-year extension and pay her more, we should expect a better product on the field?
I have a hunch he’ll penny pinch.IMO,much like the softball coach, WBB is a place where CDC can make a "splash" for relative peanuts for a department that earns well north of $200 mil annually.

These are the moments when he has to prove that he's THAT guy.If so then he may not be the right man long term for this job.
It gets to be a trend when you're in the midst of the worst 10-year stretch in athletics history at Texas.I think you are absolutely correct. We have several cans that are pretty far down the road.
It has to be said that so many of the best women's coaches are institutions at their schools and it makes hiring a little harder IMO. The women's basketball coaching community is led by a bunch of older coaches that have been around forever.IMO,much like the softball coach, WBB is a place where CDC can make a "splash" for relative peanuts for a department that earns well north of $200 mil annually.
The beauty of not being an actual journalist is I don't let petty facts spoil my narrativeJust as an FYI, that's not quite what I said, but this isn't the board to discuss that.
Thanks for the kinds words on the rest!
That seems to be a very, very common thing these days. The beauty of not being an actual journalist is I don't let petty facts spoil my narrative
